    CCFC reponse to Ricoh affair

Am really sceptical of any new stadium, even if it does get built. I honestly believe, hand of heart, that if built, it will be a half baked, tacky, plastic stadium with no character and will just plonk us right down into the lower divisions of cloned, faceless stadiums, done on the cheap...

    What a load of Bullox

Exactly. Scream and shout as much as you like on any other day, but today we need unity and everyone on our side. I'm really annoyed that suddenly CCFC seem interested at the 11the hour, but an open letter like this needs as many organisations as there is possible onboard.

    Pathetic turnout

The goalposts kept moving. Originally it was said about meeting at 1 p.m. but that was to lobby councillors. Then the talk was of an open meeting. Thought it was siad that was at 6. I'm sure lots more could have turned up if it was clarified. I said I could make it for 1 and was actually in...

    Pathetic turnout

Yep, me too. Talk was now they had agreed to vote yes to concentrate on the meeting itself. Thought it was 6 p.m.

Roll call for todays public meeting !

Would love to go, but have to drop my daughter at drama and then take the car back for my wife to use and then I'll be walking up to the game.

    Open Letter To Coventry Council

Thought it was Fisher Athletic, rather than Fisher United.

    Open Letter To Coventry Council

But we need to move away from the they did this, they did that scenario. Surely now, today, should be just what is the best thing we can do for Coventry City FC.

    Stadium seats

Think it was about 1981 we first put in sky blue seats. For the first century they were just plain. I wouldn't stop going just because they were black and yellow, but if they changed them all it wouldn't feel like our home anymore would it.

Labour group votes to approve £19.5m Ricoh sale to Wasps

    Yay! Hooray for the Tories!

    Cov Rugby Club Not Opposed

Yep, I signed it too. Would urge everyone else to do the same.

    Stadium seats

I would expect them to change 2 stands to yellow and black and leave the other 2 sky blue.

Labour group votes to approve £19.5m Ricoh sale to Wasps

Feels like a disgrace all round at the moment. Be very interested to hear the full details and how CCC can defend their actions on this.

Can Wasps' consortium fund the deal

Not a lot of people I would have thought. Would hope all Coventry people boycott the Ricoh for their home games and rugby supporting people in general. They're going to lose thousands of their own supporters too. Seems a daft move to me, unless taking over CCFC is part of the deal too for them.

I've always had time for Nellist too. Used toknow a bloke who worked with him for many years and he aslways said he was a very genuine, solid bloke.

If councillors believe that CCFC will leave and build a stadium outside the city

Or as a update .... They could just vote 'yes.'

Labour group votes to approve £19.5m Ricoh sale to Wasps

Can only come to the same conclusion, that the deal includes the takeover of CCFC Otherwise the whole thing doesn't make sense. Wasps losing thousands of their own supporters, local ones boycotting, CCFC buggering off elsewhere, leaving the Ricoh to finally become the white elephant people were...

Labour group votes to approve £19.5m Ricoh sale to Wasps

Ohh bugger. Well let's just hope there is a golden nugget of hope and good news for us amongst all this smoke and mirrors and skulduggery.

Wasps deal is for 100% of ACL

I'm past tense. I'm positively taut beyond comprehension.

Wasps deal is for 100% of ACL

I really, really hope so. If it is to happen, let's at least have our club with its finger in the pie.

If councillors believe that CCFC will leave and build a stadium outside the city

They simply have to vote no based just on that don't they? If it means losing the top sports club of Coventry to an area outside the city, not governed by the city council, they have to vote against. Coventry simply cannot allow it's own football team to be lost from the city. They also have...
