Match Thread West Bromwich Albion - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Feb

I don't think we have anything to fear at Bramall lane if we play to our ability. I will be more confident of a result there if we can turn West Brom over and get back some of our confidence on the road.

    Boro

I know there are people who will disagree with this, but I think xG is one of the best indicators of performance, much better than possession. Our xg 1.79 - Boro xG 1.17

Let's just see how we do with a quality new midfielder, a winger who admittedly is unproven but could be fantastic, and BTA before we write us off.

They could make the playoffs obviously, but it won't be easy for them. They will probably need 72 this year for playoffs, that's 26 points from 14 games. There are 3 teams below them having played a game less, who could push them into the bottom half of the table.

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

He scored 4 in December, 1 against Stoke, 1 against Birmingham, and 2 against Wrexham which they lost. I'm not disputing he would have been a good option, assuming FL would have played him, but we don't know how much he was asking for, my understanding is he's earning significantly more than any...

how many famous cov fans are there?

It's hard to know really, he was only 18 / 19 and a couple of years after that season he developed arthritis. But among other games, I watched the home youth team finals at Highfield road, and he played well, the whole team did, when you consider who was in the Tottenham team.

I watched him play a few times for the youth team, he weren't a bad keeper actually.

    What was your first game

I can't remember my first game but it was early 60s. Some games in the 60's stick in my brain though, such as the game against Wolves in the promotion year and Curtis breaking his leg in I think the second game following promotion (against Forest). I remember going to Anfield and being attacked...

Yes, I think mid 80's gives us a realistic chance, 90 I think will almost certainly be enough. Our run in gives us a great chance, it's all according whether FL can address our recent frailties, we should soon find that out.
