Where will England finish in the World Cup?

Baines and Cahill? That would be the couple I would be saying in that instance. I think Jagielka is okay, but Jones and especially Smalling just aren't good enough and Glen Johnson looks like his best days are well behind him too.

Then I'd probably take a punt on Defoe or Carroll to give another option up front. Carrick is too slow, Cleverely not international class and I think we have enough defenders.

Where will England finish in the World Cup?

“I’m disappointed,” Hodgson said. “I thought it was a fierce challenge from young Raheem, not a foul challenge. He played the ball and accelerated into the ball. I’m disappointed with Antonio’s reaction, grabbing the player. " Have to say, I agree. Moving on, if Oxlade-Chamberlain proves...

That's fine. I think if the church wants to sell its messgae it needs to move with the times and develop a more modern thinking. It's been a start with changes to views on homosexuality and women priests and women bishops etc., but to base everything on a book from thousands of years ago when...

Football's gone soft, that's what I think. Sterling got the ball first and it was a genuine attempt to get the ball. it was not a malicious tackle at all. Smalling's tackle was much much worse. There wasn't even a free kick given for that. He did dive in recklessly.

Yep. Think you have missed something Sutty. Sterling deserved yellow at the very worst. I don't think it was even a yellow. Or perhaps even foul.

Maybe Sterling said something to Valencia about him being black?

I like a lot of the side tonight, but certainly not the back four, Shaw apart. If it were me I would like to see England maybe field both Oxlande-Chamberlain and Sterling in the same team. The amount of damage those two could do with their pace and guile could make a big difference. Would love...

What a double whammy. Enduring the holocaust and also having to support Tottenham.

I don't know. Now all the Christians will be able to go won't they. Shame for the Jews though.

Errr, I would say historically we have been quite lucky with draws to be honest. Don't usually get Italy or Brazil or Germany or Spain,or Holland in our group. Put it another way, how often do we get a group of death?

Maybe we could have an eclipse of the sun over Sixfields when City are playing and Tim and Joy might run out screaming and bring us straight back to the Ricoh for the next game.

I'm sure I would too, Nick. IF I could get past the original premise of Gervais' portrayal of the disabled man.

Totally agree. Heard something the other day. Think it was the Persians and Greeks fighting in ancient times and an eclipse of the Sun occurred, so they all stopped fighting believing God was angry with them.
