    Bidwell

I've been tempted to do the Bidwell did well line, but I'm leaving it alone now.

If/when he gets fitter, I think he may be able to adapt. Time will tell. Agree though, he hasn't got the Maatsen like nippiness, but probably has better defensive nous.

It was the same about McNulty (McWankty) in L2.

    Bidwell

New to the area, new club, new team-mates, new system. Needs time to get his feet under the table. He's solid and when he has settled in he'll be a decent option for us. I was happier about his signing than Todd Kane's at the time. Kane has won me over (if I ignore yesterday!). Think it will be...

Next 3 Cardiff (a) very difficult (could do with the football gods on our side) Barnsley (h) Tricky - most games very close close recently - beat QPR today Bristol City (a) Confident we'll beat these (play Swansea away tomorrow - they'll be chasing the ball all game. They also play M'Boro at...

Yep. we should have bought another striker to go with Gyo, Waghorn, Godden and Walker, and another attacking midfielder to go with etc etc We have players on contracts, and until we can shift one or two on the periiphery, we have to be patient. Nothing to do with being shafted by the owners (and...

fair point, my 'memory' was focused on the 2nd half performance. We were poor in general first half.

Substitutions are always a tricky one. We (fans) are always on the outside looking in, whereas the manager, AV etc are on the inside and know things we don't. And fans can never be wrong, as we never know the outcome of changes that weren't made.

Thought Gyo led the line brilliantly today. Really good at protecting the ball, knowing he is going to take a whack.

I get what he means, though - we let them have more possession than was 'healthy'. Not helped by Kane's performance.

Cardiff will be a much harder ask. No Hamer, so interesting to see how he shakes things up. If we win one of our next two, I'll be happy. Any more than 3 points from the next 2 and i'll be ecstatic.

If we win either of our next 2, we are level with Forest (in 7th) - it's still so close around the top. Hamer 2 match ban doesn't help. but at least we are still thereabouts. 44 points not too shabby at this stage. On reflection, thought Sheaf was great again today.

Felt shattered after that. So glad we won, but really sloppy. Some good performances mixed with a few 5/10s

They had that corner following Kane's crap cross a few seconds earlier.

From minute 15ish to 44 we were poor. Not convinced about Bidwell/Maatsen, and Kane having a stinker. Really hope we shake it up a bit, as we've looked sloppy and some of those yellows were indicative/needless. (Hamer misses nest 2 games?) Think I'd get Allen on the pitch.
