    1st managerial casualty: Mark Robins

Thanks for telling us. None of us had any idea.

    Robins quits huddersfield

Why have 2 threads on Robins gettting sack when we can have 5?

But not all teams gel at the same time do they. Some sides take much longer to gel than others. Just cos Bradford gelled doesn't mean that we should have instantly too.

And as for Coleman? Well, for me the bloke was a clown. SP seems to talk a lot more sense for me. Coleman appeared clueless. Would need to see a lot more games with SP at the helm before I could make a similar judgement upon him.

Not seen enough of the club lately Shmmee, for the obvious reasons. With Thorn I was calling for him to be replaced the previous season, so the 2 games for me is a totall irrelevance. I back SP because we have had so much upheaval and we need some sort of stability. For what it's worth I rated...

    Robins quits huddersfield

Where's the hindsight? I've always said Andy Thorn wasn't a manager and constantly criticised him for his lack of nous and intelligence while he was at the helm of this club. As I haven't been to Sixfields I find it hard to make much of a judgement on SP to be honest.

Well first time I saw Wilson play I thought he looked incredibly raw and I didn't see much quality coming out that day.

But in saying that NW, you have to give new players a chance to gel and fit into systems and that takes games. 7 debuts for us yesterday. Sometimes these things take time and therefore you have to give a number of games to give everything chance to work. Unless of course it is clearly apparent...

Well, big worry if true, but we need to give them a chance. They could prove to be good acquisitons for us, who knows. Remember McGoldrick. When we got him we all thought it was a bad signing and his goalscoring record was very poor. Maybe one of our new strikers will replicate that same sort of...

There should be a minimum of 10 games before any of us start calling for his head in my opinion. Give the players chance to gel and then let's see where we are. It's a 46 game season and this is just the very first match. We can't start getting on the manager's back before a ball has hardly...

    Robins quits huddersfield

Wish Andy Thorn had done the honourable thing and quit, rather than carry on the delusion that it would all come right at some point.

    Robins quits huddersfield

Well I am guessing he just feels he hasn't got the backing of the players. If he's lost the dressing room it's pointless carrying on.

One big difference. Pressley is a football manager. Andy Thorn will never be.

    Robins quits huddersfield

How will 2 wins in 20 games save his reputation?
  15. Otis

    Dissapointed

Well, you have a point of course, but it is just one game. If we keep deploying the same tactics and it keeps going wrong, then I'll start worrying.

He has changed the shape and formation has he not? That shows he is willing to try different systems. He is not stubbornly sticking to just one way of playing come hell or high water is he, like some other managers do. He is willing to change and try new things. What is there to suggest he is...

New sides need time to settle. Think a few people are getting ever so suicidal on the back of one single game. Let's see how it goes. You either believe in SP or you don't. I for one, do and therefore I think if the system isn't working he will be wise and honest enough to change it. It's...

Based on one game? With 7 players making their debuts? Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

My mate worked in the Ricoh catering...

Well I've eaten food from the catering establishments at the Ricoh and the wrapper from last pie I bought from there landed face down while I was wearing a geen jumper with stripey socks, so that means we are indeed back there real soon.
