    Port Vale match thread

Be interesting to see if the full backs push on under TM today. Philips is good coming forwards, but I have no idea on Stokes.

Totally agree. I think our midfield is weak anyway, but I am just trying to second guess what TM might have in mind.

I'm not so sure. He very much reminds me of Dele Adebola and he certainly has it in his locker to be a match winner.

Yep. Could be 4-3-3 with Nouble up top alongside Samuel and Tudgay. In fact, it could be Nouble and Tudgay with Samuel in the hole just behind.

One change. Nouble in for Odelusi

Now that I would love to see. Especially with him not even being in the match day squad.

    12th Man

Hasn't always been the case that we should have been the 12th man? Can't see owt wrong with that at all. I fully understand why some fans no longer go up, but the extent of the drop off is quite shocking, in spite of everything. Dare say though had we had another JPT area final we would be...

Win, win, win!! I think TM's pre-match talk will get them all fired up and despite the shortcomings of the squad, I think we will win. 3-1, with us hanging on a bit at 2-1 up and as they are pressing, we breakaway and score on the counter attack.

    Buzzing again!

If you're a victory man you most certainly shouldn't be supporting the City.

    12th Man

Yes, it was. It really knocked the wind out of my sails for us. I was euphoric and really happy we were home and everything was looking rosy and he suddenly comes out with 'We're not staying.' The timing of that was an absolute bag of shite.

    12th Man

But those first 2 games we won and even when teams play good football, not every game isn't a good game and they don't always play well. I fully understand the crowds dropping off as the season wore on, but I feel it is a poor excuse after just a couple of home games I have to say.

    Buzzing again!

The full equation though is - Cov match + optimistic people + good manager promising to bring exciting football to our shores = I am anticipating the best!

In view of Wasps being annoying sat encamped in our stadium, it might be wise for you to change the thread title.

    12th Man

Well yes, I would agree with that, but we beat Gillngham and Yeovil. Did the missing fans have a sixth sense that the football to come in the next home game was going to be crap and therefore decided they would not go up? The football did become crap as the season wore on, but how did all...

And 3) Still very much in the 'feelgood factor' zone.

    12th Man

Maybe I am bitter and twisted then, but the club needed us after the Gillingham and Yeovil games and from that point then on and SP needed us all season.

    12th Man

Hasn't it always been the case that we should have been the 12th man? Why should we suddenly become the 12th man now? Had we done it years ago we wouldn't even be in this mess. :(

Tony Mowbray and the Coventry City players out of contract in the summer

Yep, agree with this. And there is a vast difference in slowly blooding academy players carefully to just throwing them straight into the team at the drop of a hat. If the plan is to make an assault on the top 6 places next season, that is going to be incredibly difficult with a squad with...

Tony Mowbray and the Coventry City players out of contract in the summer

Not trying to piss on anyone's chips here, but just how bad are we all going to be feeling if TM does really well for us until the end of the season and then buggers off to a bigger club? The dumps we have been down in this season are going to feel like small lottery win compared to having to...

Trouble is, at the start of this season, that was pretty much what we were saying we had then, Reda Johnson, JOB, Tudgay.
