Go have a pie, cheer yourself up. (only playing, I dream of 15st right now)

Why? We have one AM in the entire squad we trust to get on the pitch. One ST means just two attacking players and you get what we’ve got: isolation and a compressed back line/midfield. If he wants to play one up IMO we need to play O’Hare and Györkeres as wide forwards in a three. One way or...

My concern is Robins seemed to run a mile from the idea of two up front recently. Been saying in interviews “it’s not us” and defending one up against Wycombe etc. Fair enough if that’s what he wants to play, but if he does buying Walker was a massive waste of everyone’s time.

Honestly think Walker will be another striker we don’t use properly who goes to another team (probably Barnsley) and absolutely smashes it.

What does Walkers look like out of interest?

Why didn’t we create those chances when JCH was in the team?

But we play with a target man. If you aren’t going to utilise JCH in that role then you’re sticking him at CM or something, or you’re changing the shape of the team to fit him in.

Great, well just put Messi at CB then because he’s a better player than McFadzean. It doesn’t work like that. Godden plays with his back to goal, JCH and Walker don’t. Last season was build on a high possession midfield which Godden was a big part of helping out with. JCH doesn’t want to do...

I think there’s a fair point that we don’t play to any goal scorers strengths. Walker comes to mind this season. We were lucky Godden seemed to fit so well last year.

“Play to his strengths” means change the way Robins wants the team to play, which means not playing to Robins’ strengths or the other players he’s brought in to do a job. Agree that we bring in strikers then use them badly, but once that’s clear getting rid is the right decision and ultimately...

How wasn’t he right? We won the league. Robins job is to build the best team, if he’s got a good player that doesn’t fit his system getting rid is the right thing to do. Same with Chaplin.

Most Gen X seem to have been rolled into either Boomers or Millenials. I’m classed as Millenial despite being 19 at the turn of the century.

    Match Thread QPR

People seem to think we’re in the market for the finished article. We’re not. We’re looking for players with obvious flaws and backing ourselves to iron them out. No one is saying Baka or Kasta, to take two oft used examples, doesn’t have something about them, raw talent or raw attributes, but...

Not really though. Most work contracts demand a certain level of personal hygiene.

~£100k for a kid who played and we have had multiple chances to sell isn’t that bad.

A massive misunderstanding of how harm reduction calculus works in a pandemic is my guess. Same as the morons who halted because of blood clots. The 12 week thing was a gamble, but one that anyone sensible knew was likely to pay off. To not do it now we have the evidence is downright negligent...
