For anyone wondering about this location, it's opposite the Belgrade Plaza car park, on the other side of the ring road, down from the fire station. Radford Road to the right, Abbott's Lane above and St. Osburg's to the left.

How big is the area by the old gas place down from Radford Road in the centre? Do you know where I mean? You come down Radford Road towards the ring road, past the fire station and it's on the right under the ring road. The reason I mention this is because I remember reading the fire station...

Yep agree. I think they will look at it and see that it is just not feasible. It would need major road reconstruction just for starters.

Well yeah, but a 25,000 seater stadium fitting in there and their being allowed to build it are two separate things. I just don't think the location there could possibly handle 25,000 fans. Can be busy round there now with no game on at all.

Again Dave, it is not about building a 30,000 seater stadium, it is about having the scope to expand to that if needed.

But again, no-one has said we will get in the Premier League. The whole argument is in terms of limiting your options in having a stadium not equipped for the Premier. I don't believe anyone would build a stadium without any aspiration one day. Just can't see any point in building a stadium...

We be happy with mid-table Championship for now wouldn't we? 4 or 5 seasons in the Championship and then see where we are.

Be great if someone had actually said that, Torch, but in reality of course no-one has. The talk of expansion is down the line WHEN it is needed. As long as there is scope to expand enough, 15,000 is fine for now. You carry on twisting though and reading between the lines. It's what City fans...

As. I say, I don't think anyone is writing off the Butts. It just doesn't at all look feasible though and an awful lot of us think the same. Blank canvas, brilliant! But a small space in the location that it's in, where expansion may well prove impossible? Think people are just being sensible...
