Walker was reported in Nottingham as “a six figure fee” so less than £1m certainly. Similarly Bakayoko was reported as “£200k including add ons”

Never terrible never brilliant. Is OK at lots of stuff and not amazing at anything. I’d have him over Shipley, but that’s about it.

On paper maybe. On the pitch Baka has consistently failed to even try at the right level let alone perform at any level. If he has Max’s effort I’d keep him for his age, but he hasn’t so he’s a waste of wage TBH.

It’s one of him and Baka unless you can find maybe a young player with the right physical attributes (i.e. not Taveres), can’t go into the season with 2/3 strikers as we found out this year. He’s a cheap option while we strengthen elsewhere, seems silly to throw that away.

Which is why I’m not a fan. But equally if our budget isn’t going up we aren’t going to have the luxury of signing a fourth choice striker. Frankly I wouldn’t even buy a striker as one of my first four/five signings, let alone two.

I didn’t say that. I said a second striker, not our second striker. It’s ten goals a season, about what I’d expect from a decent target man TBF. I don’t particularly rate Max but credit where it’s due.

A goal every four and a half games isn’t bad for a second striker.

I’d honestly be fine with a loanee in for third choice and keep Biamou on. The defence has to be priority. Some of the goals we’ve given away throughout the season have been fucking comical and we have one of the worst defensive records in the division. Whereas Walker, Godden and Hamer all...

CM? Surprised at that. I think it’s the one area we’re OK.

If wage expectations come down then maybe we can do it. And like you say we say it every year and improve the squad, so not too worried. Just concerned that those closest to the owners on here are pushing the “running costs” line pretty hard. A competitive squad is a running cost.

I hope it’s just Robins talking down our budget. We need to at least add the same amount of quality we did last season. We can’t afford to stand still as a squad for three or four years while Boddy pays back the COVID debt. Which apparently is special and unlike all the other debt we’ve been...

Depends who comes up, not likely it’s three teams with budgets the size of Rotherham and Wycombe.

Totally missed that today, went indoor skydiving instead. Looks like I made the right choice. How did Rose and Eccles get on?

Yeah we should. And I’ve honestly never met a real life person who doesn’t love a bit of flag shagging and beer, and those that do stay at home when it’s happening anyway. To be fair, it doesn’t need to come from the top, but a bit hard these days to get a campaign off the ground for everyone...

Not just him though is it? It’s a whole media-politics complex with total control of the country telling him we can’t do it or the blue fringes will cry.
