I like the idea, but do wonder if the opposing team start doing everything they can to feign 'fouls' from challenges, particularly if the team is near the limit. May well work with VAR (sigh) who could check the validity of each yellow card decision - leading to a yellow for the other team...

The thing for me is that if they make those sort of things penalties, then I'd be encouraging attackers in crowded areas to dink the ball up to above waste height all the time in the hope of hitting an arm. It's almost impossible for the defender to avoid and would just become a lottery of where...

Not a pen for me. In real time he had no chance of avoiding it and his hand was not in an unnatural position. If that was given against us I'd be fuming.

One observation of the games in general, is that there have been a lot of very close calls for yellow/red challenges, and the refs seem to be giving players very little protection. That challenge down the back of Kane and numerous others have been really 'naughty' and if teams realise they can...

Agree with all of the above - USA are worth more than their one goal lead. Wales can't lay a glove on them. On this performance, I'm not that sure they'd beat Iran. Some players look knackered, some just poor. The amount of times they have passed back to their keeper has been embarrassing - like...
