Looking at the current league table, this result (if it happens) isn't anywhere near as disastrous as it might have been (given Norwich, PNE and Watford scores). Would be 3 points off the play off with 3 games to go. (Sheaf injury is sh^te, though)
Think Hamer is having to try and do everything himself. He's doing more pressing than Godden, and looks our most dangerous attacker. I would have Walker on for Godden , if only for fresh legs chasing down their defenders trying to play tikki takka. The distribution in the final third has been...
Although I've got a couple of beers on chill. I suspect my blood pressure and alcohol won't be a good mix for tonight.
Might just have a cuppa, then revert to the beer for Saturday v Reading.
At least Blackburn hardly generates an Anfield like intimidation for the away team. Always found their home support to be very bland. As always though, respect to those who do make the effort to actually attend.
Same here. Was trying to take this as part of needing 3 from 4, but have pre-match nerves for the first time in a while. Seems to have become disproportionately important on here (in terms of 'must win'/'must not lose')
3 wins from the 4 ought to be enough imo. Winning against Blackburn has the added advantage of affecting them adversely. If we were to lose tonight, but win the other 3, I still think we'd sneak in.
Whatever happens tomorrow, if we win the next 2 home games, a win v Boro ought to get us in the play offs. 9 points from the last 4 games
That said, beating Blackburn will be the end for them, with their remaining games.
