Tim Fisher: Long term success on the pitch is what we are all striving to see

Long term success on the pitch is what we should always have been striving for. Just wish they would all shut up now, like Shmmeee says and let's all just get behind the new manager and the team and watch some decent attacking football for a change and get ourselves up that table sharpish.

I think you can get more than 4 of them in Barbara to be quite honest. At least that is the goss flying round the team room at the mo.

Sorry, did I forget to mention they were broken Bourbon biscuits from a cheapo family store? So not so much Richard Branson and more Dicky Wilkinson.

There was gossip in my office. Basically we think Barbara took 3 Bourbon biscuits at tea time, when she was only supposed to take two. I blame Sisu.

    Port Vale Gate?

Yes. 500 and then a further 300, so 800 in total. Just checked on the Port Vale offal. That's less than half of what MK brought.

    Port Vale Gate?

Yep. Agree. I can't see for the life of me why we would get anything like 12,000. Can't see Port Vale bringing that many. Think there were about 1,700 MK fans here last week. Port Vale will bring a very small fraction of that. I think it will be under 10,000. Certainly doesn't help either that...

    Barnsley Tonight

We weren't great on Saturday either, let's be truthful. Real backs to wall clinging on effort with not even a single shot second half. Let's not let that win get in the way of our knowing we are in a poor state at the moment.

These were rugby fans going to the Wales v England match. They were interviewing fans before the game on the Friday night and even local Welsh people were saying it was a nightmare on a Firday night and I am pretty sure I remember a few saying you needed to be in Cardiff a good 2 hours before...

Does it? i'm sure I've heard people say it is an absolute nightmare to get to. I recall England rugby fans saying it was taking them up to 4 hours to get to the ground from a reasonably short distance away. Have never been myself so can only go on what some people have said. It wouldn't work...

I think an awful lot of people would care. It would stop the city of Coventry from functioning and operating. It is just a ridiculous notion, so someone, somewhere has their wires crossed.

Even if it were possible, a football stadium in the middle of the city centre would ground all the traffic to a complete standstill.

If it's inside the ring road we must be quitting the football league and professional football and setting up a 5 a side team instead.

    Barnsley (A) Match thread

Let's face it. We rode our luck on Saturday and were battered left right and centre. TM needs to work quickly to get a winning side for Saturday against Port Vale.

Not possible. Anything but possible. I think the word we are looking for is impossible.
