Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Fleck miss hits a shot that is heading for a throw in, but then hits a bobble and is redirected straight into the top corner of the net?

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Has anyone said Bradford can't play well on a perfect pitch? If you are playing the long ball game I would reckon you could play the same way on any pitch. If you play the ball on the floor then the quality of the pitch could be more of a factor. You need a good surface and for it to be...

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Totally agree. It surely has to suit a long ball team that has big strapping centre forwards such as Hanson in their team. It just has to. It will become a leveller when there are 2 teams both trying to play football on the deck, but for the long ball merchants it has got to cause them less of...

If you're trying to play good football then of course the state of the pitch is a factor.

what can Mowbray change for tues ?

It's a very bold statement to say that dropping one single player would have changed the result.

Very weird. My daughter's best friend's dad went and Wasps aren't his team, he's a Cov fan and his thoughts were ... Good atmosphere Not bad beer Decent food And he would definitely go again

Not sure that helps much, Astute. We only won one of those 7 games and weren't people saying we would beat Barnsley and Port Vale? :D

Didn't see that thread, Nick. If I had I would have used that. Can you maybe move this thread and merge it with the pitch condition one?

We keep drawing though and not winning and we will almost certainly go down.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

I see we have gone doe the 'Wasps route' again . The post is only about the state of the pitch and how that impinges upon COVENTRY CITY. Surely there's enough Wasps debate on the Wasps sub forum isn't there? All I am interested in is how bad the pitch is going to be for tomorrow night.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

It;s not a great leveller though if you are a team that pass the ball on the ground to feet and your opposition plays long balls forward to great big strikers. And that's exactly how Bradford play. Tuesday's pitch is going to suit Hanson and not suit Nouble or Samuel or Tudgay.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Well, true, but if we can now only play the ball to feet on the ground, the pitch is very much going to not be of any advantage to us. Think many of the League One teams are more direct and have target men. We don't have any forward who can really win the ball in the air.

    Setting us up to fail

I think the key here isn't in selling our best players, but in when we sell them. We shouldn't sell any player who has value to the team until we have an adequate replacement lined up.

Anyone go to the Wasps game today?

Okay, well follow up question therefore is, could the state of the Ricoh pitch contribute to us being relegated, or would that just be an excuse? Just thinking that if we haven't got the type of player to play on a heavy, boggy pitch, does that put us at a further disadvantage at home? Or as I...

At the moment I think we are playing Pythonesque football.
