Psychological ploy. Mind games. Stand away from the goal and let the player stare at the big wide open goal in front of him. Then last second, take your place and become the obstacle to make the goal seem that bit smaller. Bleedin obvious, obviously, but it's amazing what little tricks can do...

From what I recall though, they missed at least 2 sitters.

It was such a hit and miss performance and players were doing some good things, but them making silly mistakes. To my mind, the only consistent player out there tonight (penalty apart) was JOB. Not sure I can mark anyone else accurately at all. Our performance was all over the place at times...

Southend had only scored one goal in four games, so them bagging two tonight and looking like they could score more too at times, I think has to be a worry.

I like Philips, but he does make a lot of mistakes and has been responsible for just as many goals as Willis has, if not more.
