    Barton

People are talking about Barton though today because it was he who was taken off. Think pretty much everyone agrees that Fleck was poor as well.

    Barton

Track back? Occasionally he does, yes. Donny's great one chance in the first half was down to him.

    Barton

Me too. Had it been Fleck or Barton or Samuel I wouldn't have been as concerned, but as party of JOB's games is all about harrying and chasing down opposition players and nipping at their ankles, I thought it would be very wise to remove him from the fray.

    Too many games...

Where's it got us though these past 15 years?

Three "6 Pointers" In A Row Coming Up

That's not strictly true. They are now just 4 points off the play-off positions and are right back in the mix for a top 6 place.

    Too many games...

JOB has said "we are playing too many games where we lose and it is taking it's toll on a lot of players.". There we go. Have amended that for him.

    Barton

As I and others have said on other threads, on the ball he played quite well, but off it he was shocking. I was convinced he was taken off for tactical reasons, because he was nothing short of a liability when he didn't have the ball, but TM says he had a knock, so we will go with that I think...

    I worry...

He's a good manager. I just think the problem is, as he said himself, he had been out of the game for some time and knew nothing about League One and had to ask other manager's and players etc. all about the league and its strengths. It's all still a bit of a learning curve for him. If he stays...

    Defensive errors

Yep, Willis was definitely culpable for the first. He lost possession and set up their attack for them. Defence was a shambles in that second half. Luckily we have Andy Webster to come back in and steady the ship on Saturday.

    Game of Thrones

She's a man mountain. Or make that a woman mountain. She's huge!!! I have my fingers crossed that one day she gets it on and gets all jiggy with Tyrion. Think I would pay good money to see that.

    Robins

Agree with that. You make me laugh, Don, 'fake hero.' Weren't you a big fan of a certain Mr. A Thorn?

    Defensive errors

We were quite solid at the back first half. Ian Wallace said the same in the commentary. Donny just upped their game though second half and pinned us back. They came flying out of the blocks and we were clueless to counter act that. A worrying thought I have is that this has happened a number...

    Gerrard

Yep. If he goes to the US he is going to be surrounded by studs, but then I can't blame him I suppose, cos he will have to make it his stamping ground.

    Gerrard

Yep, well he needs to make his mark.

    Finally meet the HUD

Before my time, but my dad raved about him. Best player he had ever seen play he says.

    Jim O'Brien's beard .......

Ahh, I hadn't noticed! That's why he was a little bit faster yesterday then.

Three "6 Pointers" In A Row Coming Up

And that's really worrying, because on the whole we have done nothing but complain about those two players.

    Defensive errors

It just seems to me that we are shipping a load of goals not simply down to weakness as a defence, but it terms of clear individual errors such as being caught in possession or a wayward pass. How were the goals going in last season at Sixfields? I kind of remember people saying we weren't big...

Three "6 Pointers" In A Row Coming Up

Yep, really you want to be playing midtable sides with little to play for, as opposed to those teams absolutely desperate for points. For some reason yesterday Doncaster wanted it more than us and that should never ever have been the case.
