For me the club don’t see it as a first team game so neither do I. Same as the U23 matches, I wouldn’t go out my way to watch them but I’d happily buy a stream cos it’s better than Love Island and I don’t have to get childcare.

One thing I will say. As a graduate when I decided to retrain I had much wider options available to me than I would have. Much like 5 Cs at GCSE opens doors, so does a 2:1 as a general mark of ability. Arguably that’s down to employers but good luck changing that mindset.
