Tudgay unfortunately is very wasteful in front of goal. Now missed a number of really good opportunities. Don't know how you can say Fortune and Tudgay are equally good replacements for Armstrong. Neither of them is a goal getter. TM himself says Fortune is a provider rather than a goalscorer.
Just noticed that Rotherham have just approached Walsall's Dean Smith about their mangerial vacancy.
Approach turned down, but this may cause a little bit of uncertainty in the Walsall camp.
Hmm, it's a tough one.
Off the top of my head I would say
-------- Oggy
Phillips Peake Kilcline Downes
Bennett Gynn McGrath Pickering
----- Houchen Regis
Not sure about the subs, but 2 of them would probably be Rodger and Sedgley.
I would stick with Charles-Cook. In saying that though, Burge did nowt wrong at all the last 2 or 3 games he was in.
For me Charle-Cook just looks more confident and assured. His command appears better too. That first game his handling was excellent.
I would stick with Charles-Cook...
I was there too. Gutted we missed out that night. If I recall though our penalties were pretty dreadful weren't they? I seem to remember us missing 2 at least.
Just wish we had Armstrong back for Saturday.
As it stands I would go for the following;
-------Charles-Cook
Ricketts, Martin, Reda, Stokes
JOB, Fleck, Vincelot, Murphy
------ Lameiras
------- Fortune
Exactly, stupot.
What you have in your locker when you have a potent goal scorer like Armstrong in your team, is the ability to score goals even when you are not playing well. Players like him can win you matches for you almost single handedly.
What we apparently had last night was a team in...
