    Walker

Can walker play on the left of a 3? Because if he can he’s worth a go there.

    Walker

Don’t think his fitness levels are up yet.

Walker is a lot more athletic than Godden. It’s only a matter of time before he starts.

Shipley had mistakes in him in L1 but at Champ level he isn’t at the races unfortunately. We all want him to do well as a Cov kid but he just isn’t good enough. We just have to accept that.

Both Giles and Dabo were pushed out of the game which means we lose the start of our attacks.

I think so. We need his defensive qualities. Giles might be better suited as an impact sub pushed up the pitch.

Don’t worry. We will all calm down as we have 2 weeks off. Then we face Brentford who played Fulham off the pitch the other day and have the Championship Messi in their team.

    To the wire

Well with the international break and then a 3 game suspension he won’t be playing till the end of this month now. One month of not playing football. He needs to sit down and reflect on his karma. Knock the childish aggression out and channel his energy to his strengths. He is Kasteener mk2...

Part of the problem is we can’t keep the ball up front and bring the attacking players in. Godden just isn’t good at that at this level. We need to try Walker or Baka up there with him to bully the defenders. Godden doesn’t want to ruin his hair.

I wonder if the Championship is suited to Kasteener? His power and aggression is what we need going forward. As long as he doesn’t get sent off. Maybe this seasons wild card pick.

I actually do think we need to consider a more traditional formation. Teams know to do the high press, cut off our wing backs and wind up Hamer.

    Sheaf

He might be able to play a different role against Brentford as Kelly will sit deeper so he can push up, but he might need a bit of mentoring. To be fair he did well with some quick feet to win the penalty.

Well Robins needs to look at Bapaga, Hilsner and Jobello as options to give us a bit more in attack. We just aren’t able to carry the ball and drive to the opposition box.

    Caught between 2 styles

We need change formation to adapt games. Brentford dumped Fulham out of the cup and looked very dangerous. Last night was a reality check that we are small fry in this league and we will be played off the park against certain teams. We need to pick up points against the teams who we think will...

They were better than us and Robins was out smarted tactically. They completely stopped Dabo and Giles who they know the vast majority of our attacks come from. This isn’t last season and Robins also needs to adapt quickly in understanding to change formation if you have to at half time or...

    Hamer

Problem is we don’t have any creativity in midfield if he’s out numerous times. Also he keeps getting frustrated with the static nature of our attack.

Scathing assessment of Hamer by McSheffrey. And actually he is spot on.

    Midfield

This might sound crazy but I actually think Eccles is a better prospect in midfield than Shipley.
