Coventry City winger Danny Swanson out to impress his Hibs hero boss

I agree. Felt that he and Miller weren't really given a chance last season. Wouldn't mind SM being given another chance too. Still without a club.

Love that their best outfield player (Guzan has been their best overall in the last couple of years imo) is probably now Alan Hutton. Also find it funny that their third best outfield player has chosen to drop down to the Championship. I can't be the only one that was shocked by that transfer...

    Don't forget Andy Townsend!

Sadly he still turned up more than many others! In Jamaica atm and the locals regard Ornandi Lowe as a god. Also as soon as I say I'm from Coventry or mention my team the yanks almost always reply with "OMG Cobi Jones!"

So... This new stadium is taking a while...

I'll have a look but I'm almost certain it was that way round and the FL requested it to be that way.

It's a 2+2 deal in the club's favour. If the club want to continue for the two extra years ACL have no choice.

So... This new stadium is taking a while...

Must say this thread is very entertaining. Been an excellent breakfast read. Better than any of the morning papers anyway. Anyway Cllr Maton stated that there was no area big enough to accommodate a 90 acre site. The largest available was at Stadco, Dunlop and Meggitt even if you take off...

    Villa after 'Cov Kid'

No surprise that he's wanted by other PL clubs. Scored at Villa Park in the cup (first ever Cov kid to net there) and ran their defence ragged. I remember Alan Hutton looked as solid as a rock and nothing got past him until Wilson came on. Within 20 seconds of his introduction Hutton had been...

Looking forward to #RunarNormannDay on 29th Feb next year. Apt due to him making an appearance every four years.

I agree to an extent. Nice bloke and did well in L1 but remember the fury when he and Bell both got handed contract extensions? Also I remember some of our idiots cheering when he did his ankle at Portman Road.

    Robbie Keane's doing well.

    Chuba

One of the stupidest deals I can remember at any club. Was never going to work. Not all his fault. Can't be easy to play in L1 in one system and head to an airport straight after that game so he can play in an entirely different system at a different level elsewhere. Long term pros would struggle.

Why can't we just go to the office at Lockhurst Lane like before?

    Stevie May

Really can't see this happening. Would happily be proved wrong though. Played out wide when I've seen him play for Wednesday and Scotland. Constant pain in the arse that doesn't stop moving. Covers every blade of grass and can run for hours. Similar sort of player to Naismith.

Yeah. It was a bit emotional in Ljubljana when he hung it up for the first time. Said at the time that it highlights the good and bad of football fans.

    Dream Match

How about Sepp Blatter and Jack Warner v Vinnie Jones and Duncan Ferguson in doubles.... In all seriousness Joey Dunlop v Giacomo Agostini. Identical bikes (something like 1976 RG500s) over two legs. One on a short circuit, one on the roads. Others would be Bjorn Borg v Roger Federer on...

That's Paul Walker's flag, or was until a crowd of Juventus animals robbed it and left him with a few 'reminders' of his trip. A group of us got together to help him get another one. I think I see Paul, Dale Hayward and Nick Glassbrough in the pic.
