They did. I think we sold an extra 3 or 4 thousand on the back of that. You just wait now till we sign Fred Smith and Bert Jones. The sales will skyrocket!!

Yes, agree. And the early bird offer ends soon too, increasing the price and making it less likely anyone will buy one.

d Don't really want to get involved in this thread, which is now getting a tad tirseome, but how do you know that Milner didn't 'devote every spare hour of his time fulfilling his lifetime ambition?'

But then, yet again I say, it's more than likely we will sign players just about no-one will ever have heard of. How is that going to boost season ticket sales? We sign a player from say, Rochdale and one from Crewe, how is that going to make people want to go out and by season tickets? These...

Good man! I think most of us believe Mowbray is a good manager. A half decent team and we should have a winning season and good football to boot. Not sure what else we want.:thinking about: The bigger the crowds, the more support for the team and the better for the club. Let's get up there...

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

Yes, the difference between the on-field conduct of the New Zealand team and the Aussies is really palpable.

Well said, Hill. Still don't understand the 'foreign shops' jibe and why it is a problem. Do they deal drugs from these shops or something, or only sell to their own kind?' Had a good look at Gosford Street today and there's lots of shops of all varieties. I wouldn't call Lickety Lick a...

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

They most likely wouldn't have been 45 for 5, because they would have played the game differently. Less than a run a ball is an easy target and doesn't require the need to go for boundaries. Game over here from me too. You make hay while the sun shines. :D

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

Lol. They seriously need to look at the system and revise it, or come up with something else entirely. Win or lose, I still think it's unfair, but well played England. They made hard work of it, but Bairstow shone and carried the team.

I love the D/L method. Whoever devised that system deserves a medal!! Top lads!!

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

I like you Grendel, but sometimes you just keep trying to argue your point. I know England have 10 wickets. I STILL say the system is unfair. Is this going to turn into an Italia 40 page incessant argument? There is nothing you can say that will change my mind, so let's just move on. I...

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

I don't know who these people are either and I'm sure you can find plenty of cricket experts who say the D/L method is not great. Yes, it's better than what we had before, but at times it just isn't fair and no amount of gesticulating from your good self is going to convince me otherwise. To me...

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

Brian, Beds: What a RIDICULOUS target...!! How on EARTH can this be deemed fair? Gideon, Manchester: England bowl well and keep New Zealand at 5.66 runs an over. In return, Duckworth Lewis make England have to score at 7.44 an over!!! Charlie, Essex: How can we lose just under half of the...

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

We will have to disagree I'm afraid. 5.66 runs in 50 overs is so much easier than 7.38 in 26 overs. I'm not saying it should be the same run rate, but the degree of disparity is wrong.

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

I agree to a point, but at less than a run a ball England could have knocked it about for singles and won easily. With the run rate over 7 runs they knew they needed boundaries. This system is simply not at all fair. England have had to totally change their mindset for this run chase and have...

I just love my city, Samo, despite all its failings and I always want to help promote and support local stuff like this and Fargo is a brilliant venture. It has very much a Camden feel to the place and every shop is independent.

Anyone a bit concerned about the 2nd one day cricket international?

What would have been a very catchable total based on NZ not reaching 300, England would have totally felt confident of getting 284 from 50 overs. Just about 200 off 26 overs is a much, much tougher ask and immediately puts pressure on the English batsmen, when 284 would have been less than a...
