    sh#t on the villa!

You would think so, but there's still lots of complaining about on the field stuff too (tactics, players, wrong formations, substitutions etc.) I am just enjoying this season so much, I really don't feel like complaining about anything. Losing only 4 games out of 24 is remarkable in Coventry...

    These next fixtures

Crewe - Draw Walsall - Win Burton - Draw Southend - Win Unless my maths is terrible, I make that 8 points.

    Crewe (Away) Match Thread

I think JOB will be in again. I think we need his urgency and energy, especially for tough away games. Crewe will battle, I think there is no doubting that. So, JOB in for Kent.

    Adam Armstrong's Loan

It is January 16th that Armstrong's loan is up. I think Kent is the same.

    Best City XI of all-time - LM/LW

Thanks Pete. Would have loved to have seen more of Ian Gibson and to have seen George Hudson play too. The first truly gifted player I remember for the City was Ernie Hunt. He was a genius at times.

    Ryan Haynes

I think all young players need a chance to develop. Haynes has been disappointing for me since he first appeared on the scene, but I wouldn't give up on him just yet. If we have the cover I would like to see him go out on loan somewhere to see if he can develop his game. I haven't given up on...

    Best City XI of all-time - LM/LW

I see he played 93 games in 4 years, so he must have been missing for large chunks at a time.

    Best City XI of all-time - LM/LW

I have such a vague memory of Ian Gibson. Was he in and out of the side a lot? And what were the off field problems?

    So, it now looks like

We did indeed have injuries early on. TM strengthened the squad though from pre-season. Hopefully our bout of bad injuries is at an end and it's someone else's turn.

    Adam Armstrong's Loan

Yep, think that's right. I'm sure Ryan Kent's is the 16th Jan or thereabouts and I think it's around the same time with Armstrong.

Be great if Lorentzson is all the say he is and he is back fit and available, but that's wishful thinking at best. He'll need game time in the U21's first I'm sure. Fingers heavily crossed that Martin is fit.

Would you take Elliott ward ?

Yep, he's not a commanding centre back. We need a bit of a big brute if possible.

    It's a must win don't you know!! ;)

    So, it now looks like

Pre-season I predicted 7th, but that was because I believed that injuries would hurt us, as the squad wasn't big enough or strong enough. I now definitely believe we are strong enough and we will make the top 6, barring a disaster ( losing Armstrong and not being able to adequately replace him...

    Best City XI of all-time - LM/LW

Err, maybe because I hardly ever saw him play perhaps? Think I may have seen him twice at the very, very most. Only memory I have of him was my watching a game at HR and the crowd shouting 'We want Gibbo! We want Gibbo!' Unless you want me to select him on the back of that, he's not getting...

    Ryan Haynes

I think he positively thrives on it to be honest. He likes being the maverick. :)

    Best City XI of all-time - LM/LW

Robson was very good for us, but I would plump for Stevie Hunt and Terry Yorath as our central midfield pairing. When it comes up of course. :)

Official January transfer window for CCFC

To free up wages. Everyone accepts we will get very little for him, if anything at all, but we have a wage bill and getting one player off that bill will allow another to come in.

Then we'd have least been in top spot on the C5 Football League show highlights programme for once. Anything that raises our profile, I'm in!
