That's where I'd like a more energetic midfield dynamo hassling in the middle of the park, which would give the defence more protection.
Although clearly not 100% fit, you could see (and I have watched him do it in the past) the difference a player like Stansfield makes with his work harrying...
If you mean Kone, he assisted for one goal (no idea about his overall form) The Burrell lad who has done his hamstring seems the main goalscoring threat recently.
QPR, whom we play at the end of the month will be without their leading scorer Burrell ( hammy today!) plus 2 others went off crocked ( including Varane). Good for us, so I'm taking that as a positive.
I don't think we've been that bad. It would help if the ref could spot the constant fouling when we have a corner. If we can get more crosses in the box, we can recover this. It was always on my 'awkward game' list, and despite the 'they're sh*t' agenda, they've only lost once at home in ages.
Stansfield, Doyle and Paik kick opponents a lot. Hoping the ref is strong, plus hope Stansfield isn't properly fit. An 'accidental' knee in the same thigh he had a deadleg with would be nice!
To be fair, they'd beat Oxford, regardless. Might suit us if they have to cram another game in amongst an already hectic schedule. Hopefully they have to play it on the Wednesday before they are due to play us!
Hardly going to be toxic if (at worst) we are 5 points clear at the top - we'll have a fortnight until our next league game, and time to get some reinforcements in. Any bottle on the horizon is likely t be from the Blues fans (just keep your eyes peeled and tour head down!)
