Glenn: "A message to all the fans in England, after the performance in the tournament: sorry. We've come up short." Thanks Martin. No need to apologise to those of us in France.

A tad harsh on Rooney. He played ok in the first half. Around 55 minutes he signalled to the bench to be taken off. Not his fault if they kept him for another half an hour. He looked baffled when Rashford didn't Rashford was kept on the touch line for so long.

Well done to your team and to your fans. Been terrific though out. You'll beat the French.

    The Next England Manager

Genuinely saddens me that Roy's gone. Ray Lewington too. Two honourable & lovely men. They had time for us. Drank with us on a number of away trips for hours at a time. They knew what we did to support our country and they cared about us. At Jimmy's celebration they stopped me and one other...

Gutted isn't the word. During this campaign we've been to 25 games. Done 35,000 miles. Taken dozens of flights, half a dozen ferries and 30+ trains. Stayed in 30+ hotels. I really don't want to know how much it's cost. Weeks and weeks off work too. After all that they give us that performance...

Guess the old boy Mowbray has been speaking to?

Carrick was with us for 6 months for a year. He was released as it was thought he'd be too small.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

For some this may look like a bad day for the UK but it's far worse for the EU. Belgium, France, Denmark, Italy, Holland and Sweden have all come out either saying they want out or have reaffirmed their stance on wanting out. Iceland have said it makes them less likely to join (didn't want to...

    The Next England Manager

Correct but I look at who our best players have been this tournament and who has been in charge of them in the last 12 months. Leicester should've had one or two more in the squad but would any of them take the place of Spurs' five?

It should be the same rules for managers as for players. If I had to choose a foreigner I would go for Pochettino. No one better than him in the country at the moment.

    Goal Music

Along with untrained 'musicians' with a drum and other instruments and those cardboard clapper things goal music is the arse hole of football. Ban all 3.

    The Next England Manager

If Roy does depart the replacement has to be English. The experiments with Fabio and to a lesser extent Sven didn't work. Howe is a great manager and coach but I don't want to see him and his career get ripped apart by the media at such an early stage. The only one that is close to being good...

Clyne not utilised despite him being in yards of space constantly. We were too slow going forwards until Rooney and Alli came on. Henderson the main cause of that. Bertrand was very poor too I thought. Pissed off we now have to go down to Nice.

Great day in a City that has organised the event excellently. Bloke from one of the bars spent the day walking round with a stepladder and rope so everyone could hang their flags up. There were also plenty of them that have built temp bars and wheeled them out into the squares.

Arguments against Coventry as a 'City of Rugby'

My business bank account can confirm there is money being put into a lot of sports.

Arguments against Coventry as a 'City of Rugby'

Could be that CCC are trying to use it to chum up with Wasps but I think it's just a case they've been very misguided. What about football, ice hockey, American Football, Gaelic Sports? Also what about the individual sports that have world champions hailing from our City and the surrounding region?

Arguments against Coventry as a 'City of Rugby'

I guess I'm in the minority but I actually like 'the City of....' Idea. It should be 'sport' though. Unfortunately they have gone down the Rugby route but if that gets more kids playing sport it's cant be a bad thing. That's the most important thing after all. With regards to Wasps they aren't...
