Peter Crouch On Loan At The City

Where did you hear this from, ferret?

    John Fleck

Only thing is, can we get an adequate replacement for him. If TM thinks he can do that then that will obviously have some bearing on the decision.

We have had no luck at centre back at all. First we lost Willis, then Reda, then Turner, then Martin. If Stokes becomes another casualty I think we can put it down to a curse. Really been so unlucky and the thing is, though Stokes has been brilliant at centre back, we have really missed him at...

He tired very quickly though. Looked brilliant in the first half, but slowed down considerably as the game wore on.

    Chris Stokes

Vincelot played well but made a couple of mistakes, whereas, besides stepping on the ball early on and nearly losing possession, Stokes was outstanding. My player of the match for sure.

Yeah! Besides scoring and having loads of assists, he nearly always chooses the wrong option! It's a bit like 'what have the Romans ever done for us' I think.

Agree. First half we totally dominated and looked very much an automatic promotion placed side. We ran out if steam second half (ring rusty?), but even then we came back and had a 10 minute period where we dominated and had 3 good opportunities to kill the game. I am more confident too. Hunt...

Well yep, totally agree. 2 or 3 wins in a row and the whole picture changes. Not going to say we will do that, but that's a possibilty for any of the top teams. We nearly won again tonight. Don't get all the gloom and doom at all. We were dominant and should have killed the game off. We didn't...

Exactly! Knee jerk reaction and way off the mark. We deserved a point, we are still right in it. Look at our back four tonight! Let's give TM chance to bring players in like he has promised. Could make all the difference.

Surely not. You can fly to Sweden in 2 hours, unless someone is coming over by pedalo.

Totally agree. We're still 4th and in with a great chance of at least a play-off chance. I'm still really bouyant.

Errr, we have Lorentzson don't we? He could make a big difference.

Bit of an exaggeration. Yes, they had loads of possession but there was next to no threat and I think we believed we could hold out for the win. Some of it tonight was self enforced with us trying to protect the lead and defend deep.

They were getting a fair bit of joy down our right hand side. TM clearly brought Fortune on to help protect Phillips. Made sense to me and that's how Marcus Hall and Eakin called it too. Think we could have lost without shoring up our right side. JOB was knackered. Not sure Tudgay there would...

We should have won tonight. Walsall did dominate in the 2nd half but we had all the really good chances and they didn't look like scoring. I don't think we can be too downhearted. TM has said he is still looking for players, especially a no nonsense centre back. Had we had a Turner type...

I'm not too down at all. Walsall pressed and pressed but really didn't look like scoring and that goal came a bit out of the blue. They had loads of possession but hardly any chances up to that point in the 2nd half. The good thing was, they were totally dominating and then we suddenly got a...

Armstrong looking good and Cole, JOB and Fleck pulling the strings. Vincelot done well too, as has Stokes and Ricketts. Murphy has the beating of their right back. More ball out to Murphy please second half.
