Seriously though. If they had bought into ACL at 5,5m they would have been able to do something about shirt sponsoring as they would still be playing in Cov.. The whole discussion would be different. There would be no march, no JR, no Higgs' case and they as a part of ACL would be hard-selling...

I do a lot of events - and I do get the staff - but there are staff and..staff. They would get staff of course, but it is not as easy getting good staff as it may seem and then you have to have someone in charge of the staff. Serving people and having cash it the till are a bit different to...

The F&B benefit is exagerated when taken as solely for CCFC on matchdays. CCFC couldn't do it themselves. They would have to use the facilities which were paid for by someone else and would have to staff and supply the facilities once in every two weeks. There would be waste. You would have...

Yes, well I have dealt with concessionaires on exhibition sites who have a monopoly on F&B. I have sold with their consent and with the consent of the exhibition authorities. It was not easy and I had to pay a percentage of turnover. In this case, as the bowl is empty and CCFC have a track...

Ann Lucas to speak about Ricoh and CCFC tomorrow

Yes, but some trader would try and cash in on the F&B money and it would all start again....

    If no one supports ACL....

According to reports and Joy the whole 590K is with the fl ( is that enough proof Grendel? ;-)). In other words, if ACL don't get the full amount, it will be because the FL have so decided and we won't be getting a points deduction. Which is fair enough.

    In private

The sooner all rulings are out of the way, binding and final, the better. I hope SISU have to pay the agreed amount - it seems fair ( if they agreed to it at the time ). I also hope that the JR appeal is not allowed. Only when these distractions are out of the way, can we draw a line and then...

Ricoh chairman says it would be a "tragedy" if CCFC didn't return

To be fair, wouldn't it be possible to ask the fl to transfer the undisputed part of the escrow in advance of any decision by the fl. A symbolic show of good faith and then add an offer of a meeting with the fl to discuss the disputed part and come to a resolution of this relatively minor argument.

    If no one supports ACL....

We are talking about a ring fenced account which is, in effect, similar or is an escrow account. The money is held by the FL to pay the 590K agreed by SISU with the football league to recompensate ACL for the money they would have got had they accepted the CVA - not for ongoing rent. The...

Football league to consider outstanding debt sisu owe acl

It depends what you call a debt. If someone says to me, you will be paid for whatever reason, then he owes me the money. It may be difficult to enforce though and in this case it depends upon the deal between the fl and OEG. Why did this happen in the first place? What did ACL have in their...

Football league to consider outstanding debt sisu owe acl

The fl have a deal with SISU that SISU pay a third party - ACL. I think we can agree on that.

The Fl did at the time.

Football league to consider outstanding debt sisu owe acl

Yes, but. The fl fobbed ACL off saying that SISU would pay. Ml confirmed ACL would be paid. Are you saying that the fl's word is meaningless? Grendel says the fl will now decide how much they will pay. What a joke. A deal is a deal - the creditor and his professional body don't decide how much...

Football league to consider outstanding debt sisu owe acl

Did the FL not inform ACL that they had an agreement that SISU would pay them? That's three parties in the picture. The FL having been sloppy with players registrations and not being sure themselves who had their golden share. Maybe ACL had something on them which they used to get the league...

A bad week - but tomorrow we make our voice heard

Yes, but he has gone down in history as the guy who came in changed things, brought people into the ground and got the club talked about by most of Coventry even the non fans. All his mistakes or disloyalty, as you infer, mean nothing in comparison to the good times ( that's how it goes -...

Football league to consider outstanding debt sisu owe acl

Wie will know if they have leave of appeal rejected by Hickinbottom by then and the reasons for or against. SISU will probably have a rethink wehen they know which way the wind ist blowing. Suits the FL and SISU.

Acl to comment on Ricoh arena position

And back to the point.....are SISU going to pay the 590K they owe and drop all litigation as requested by ACL in order to open negotiations ( where all the points about high rent, sustainability etc. can be discussed and maybe a solution found ), or are we going into another round of the blame...

Just to clarify: Grendel himself didn't call me a scab or shit fan - others did. He just called me a non-fan. He does himself no favours by lowering himself to deciding who are good fans, bad fans, non-fans or whatever.

The "extreme" rent was accepted by CCFC before and after the take over by SISU. It wasn't called "extreme" until recently. The judge said it was 10% of revenue - relatively speaking not "extreme". The revenue fell and the rent became "extreme", but the rental agreement from 2005 wasn't a...
