Not exactly. I don't like the anti-social aspect of phones, but do loads of online shopping and really embrace an awful lot of modern technology. It's phones I have the biggest problem with, but only through people going into bubbles and nto interacting and being rather ant-social as a result.

But it's kids I am talking about. Both my daughter and her friend wanted and got balloons. Both were really keen to go on the tablets (I couldn't get them off) and my daughter's friend specifically wanted a Happy Meal beacuse she wanted the gift. There's the fun.

I see this is going to drag on and on. :D I had an experience that I found rather uncomfortable and impersonal. Was surprised myself when I had the feeling I had, but when I came home I said to my wife that the experience didn't sit comfortably at all with me. The whole point of the thread...

Is it? I thought you talked of being knackered and not having much time.

Are they? That's what I am asking. I'm very much a McDonald's virgin, but isn't it very much about the experience for the kids? Don't they get balloons and a go on the tablets and free gifts in their Happy Meals?

Which, if you read what I'm saying Nick, I totally don't have a problem with at all.

You go to McDonald', I'll go to Burger King. We all discuss on these boards, behind computer screens simply because we don't know each other. If I knew you CCFC I would much rather meet up at a pub or a cafe for a chat about the City. We all come on here for a shared interest, but we are all...

Basically all I am saying is it is a worse experience isn't it if you have chosen drive thru simply because you can't be arsed to go in and do have the time, are not in a rush and there's no other reason. If you could go in, but simply choose not to because you simply cannot be bothered to get...

Because when you are out it's a different social interaction. We are in our houses all the time aren't we. My family would always choose the going out option over the takeaway or delivery option. It's a different experience. When we did the drive thru we just picked up the food and came...

It is. A lot of Chinese and Indian though give a 20% discount for takeaway, so I can see why people choose that option. Our local is the Ocean. Very rare we have a takeaway. We nearly alwys plump for sitting in because we like the social aspect of it all.

As I said Nick, I found it non-human. Perhaps it's just me like I said. To talk to someone through and intercom and then just drive off. I found it all rather surreal. Don't know why people are seemingly having a bit of a go ...;) I did say 'is it just me?' It probably is just me. I just found...

Can I just add, this thread for me wasn't anything to with any kind of snobbery, it was just about the lack of social interaction and the feeling of laziness and almost a non human experience. We regualrly go to Burger King. I don't eat there because I'm vegetarian and their veggie option isn't...

Okay, you can travel back in time to circa 1966-67

Some Wings stuff is good, but I wonder what McCartney would say if you played him all that pap he made while he was in the middle of composing Eleanor Rigby or She's Leaving Home?

Who's getting snobbish about it Grendel? Certainly not me. I think the restaurants look okay inside. Bright and cheerful and overall pretty clean. I do think the food is pretty rank though.

You can't get a MCDonald's delivered can you? From what I can see, many people just go to McDonald's cause it's cheap and pretty instant. The neighbouring family would most definitely go to McDonald's and if they could get it delivered, they would. That's why I say they would go to the drive...

    Morris recalled

Would have to agree with that. He was massively underused I would say. We did the right thing in not picking him, because of what was ahead of him, and by the same token, Middlesborough have took him back because we weren't using him enough.

    Drive Thru's

Well this is one aspect that concerns me. People just using them out of pure laziness, just becasue they can't be arsed to get out of their seats. How many do so out of convenience and time constraints and how many out of pure laziness? We have neighbours who hardly ever go shopping. Taxis...
