    The noise at kick off.....

I thought Coventry was a city not a town when the original was written. Presumably Greggs was deeply offended at the time.

Presumably you meant some people - a minority. The whole point of traffic light controlled crossings is that they in themselves are safety measures.

Road Closure A444 After the Match.

There is no safety issue if everyone (a) followed the Highway Code and (b) took some personal responsibility for their own safety. I realise the latter concept is somewhat controversial these days when trigger warnings are deemed necessary before Midsomer Murders. Friday May have been a pilot...

Yes, I know that. It’s why I don’t think this is entirely reliable.

Thanks, I can see that now.

I can’t believe that it hasn’t been publicised. It is even less believable that it is road beyond the roundabout. We can all turn left out of Car Park C, drive up to and around the roundabout and back down past Tescos, giving maximum opportunity to run pedestrians over.

That site shows road closures on every match day, including one from 16:15 on the day of the Leicester match.

I hadn’t assumed that the closure would be repeated unless it was announced in advance. There is nothing on WCC website. Can this third party site actually be trusted to be correct - I have never heard of it.

Where have you seen that, I have looked but can’t find anything? Which part are WCC responsible for - beyond the M6?

Match Thread Coventry City - Birmingham City Match Thread - Friday 8th Dec

The pictures show the location of the match officials. Obviously a still, by definition, won’t show movement, but they should have had a good view of what happened. In my view we have lost a number of points following poor refereeing decisions, coupled with an inability to score as many goals as...

Match Thread Coventry City - Birmingham City Match Thread - Friday 8th Dec

The problem is that, at the time, we were only 1 goal up. It would be typical for us to not be given a penalty, or concede a non penalty, and go on to lose. The referee was generally good, but he and his team got this one wrong.

Conceded 23 this season against 18 last season

    Tempo

Slightly tongue in cheek, but only having 4 players at the back rather than 5 inevitably means less options for ponderous passing play ( generally to McFadz and back again, repeatedly) and more players in midfield to play quicker, shorter passes between.

i didn’t see you say it was a penalty. Referee seems pretty well positioned to me, as does the linesman

I did think there seemed to be a lot of people leaving early. Is that what they want to encourage? Will it be yet another reason for people not to renew their season tickets?

    Segregation

Thanks for the correction, I was right in principle but wrong in detail.

Logically they should do this on a Saturday when there is even more traffic on the A444 northbound. Or else there is no justifiable reason for doing it for night matches.

Road Closure A444 After the Match.

I left early so didn’t see peak chaos. By the sounds of it some people didn't get out of Car Park A until 10:40 which would have meant I wouldn’t have got home till near midnight if I used that car park. Getting out of C wasn’t too bad having left the ground early. Others have reported traffic...

    Segregation

They are pretty much all “hospitality” season tickets - Club Coventry etc. I have no idea where they were accommodated as an alternative. IIRC there was a bit of a fuss when the fixture was moved from today.

    Segregation

But they wont put home fans there because the problem is the concourse. The reason there appears to be so much segregation most of the time is because most of the time only a couple of thousand away tickets are sold.
