Butts Park Arena is new home

Can someone please tell me where there's space to accommodate a 25,000 seater stadium here? https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Butts+Park/@52.4069883,-1.52275,1141m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xb97e0f1a463b8725!6m1!1e1

Where is the ample room? I just can't see it. how on earth could a 25,000 capacity stadium be accommodated there? And there's a retirement village right smack bag next to it as it stands too. Very little room there as soon as they started building round the Butts.

I just can't see the Butts being able to accommodate the increase capacity needed. Has anyone been round there lately? I go past it and round the back of it every week and I just can't see there being the scope to increase to the degree we would need. Space is very, very tight around there.

Yeah agree, 15,000 for where we are now is fine. But if the ground would take a couple of years to complete, then wouldn't we be expecting to be in the Championship by then and then 15,000 wouldn't be enough. All fine if a 15,000 seater stadium could just be conjured up now for us, this very...

Agree with that. Starting at 18,000 would make sense. 24-26k makes sense too. You see, you're talking rationally. It's common sense thinking and that's what we need here. Are there any clubs out there in the top 2 divisions who have decreased their capacities or moved to a smaller ground?

Starting at 20,000, or thereabouts, makes perfect sense. Starting at 12,000 -15,000 makes very little sense at all.

The trend with clubs once they get to the Premier is to increase their capacities, rather than decrease them. You look how many Premier clubs have increased their capacities. I'm happy to move to the Butts, but if we decrease our capacity and to this degree, which is massive, then I can't see...

Butts Park Arena is new home

We do really well on the pitch and 20,000 isn't going to be anywhere near enough. We know if we got to the top end of the Championship or Premier League, would be getting over 20,000 easily, regularly (Wolves, Villa, Chelsea, Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool etc.) We extend to a maximum of...

Where do you think the stadium site in Coventry might be?

You might not be far wrong, because if there is a Platform 9 3/4, then there will be thousand upon thousand of acres to build on. Trouble is, no away supporter will be able to find it.

    Walking Dead Season 6

Think the one thing that could make it all fresh now would be if the walkers evolutionised. If they started to get a bit of cognition and become quicker, like the 28 Days Later lot.

    Walking Dead Season 6

Getting just a tad tiresome now I think, the **** episode apart. How many more series will there be? Don't get me wrong, it's still great, but just how long can you keep killing zombies and the odd character keep getting bitten? There's a 7th season to come. Maybe it might be better to go out...

Great news if true. By far and away the most confident of the 2 keepers we have.

Would also say recent cup form may well be relevant, whichever manager is in charge. When you've had bad cup results over a period that can manifest an unease amongst the supporters in the stands going into a game. If you've had a good pedigree you're a lot less likely to be saying 'oh here we...

To be honest, I quite like Fortune and just feel he well just be on a poor run of form, but he is not a goal scorer. TM picked the side that he had to, rather than wanted to and for that's key. I'm sure he wouldn't have picked Fortune for this game unless he felt he needed to.

Is our contracted squad a concern

Yep, agree with that. We could do wih at least one of our own with a bit of striking potency about them.

Plus we hardly have the best record in any cup competition these last few years have we. It all pointed to a very, very tough game. Weaker keeper, no Vincelot, lack of goal threat, poor cup performances on the whole.

Well for me, because I saw the side we had to put out and could see there was no firepower and very little goal threat in that team. I was convinced we would get beaten when I saw the line-up. They are are top 6 in their league too, crisis or no crisis.

So you expected us to win despite our goalkeeper being out injured, the only true defensive midfielder out suspended, our top goalscorer missing and 9 players out unavailable? You also have to add to that, that we pretty much had no other choice than to play the completely out of form Phillips...
