You'd like to think the budget has been slashed. That's a lot of wages gone off the bill, so hopefully plenty for TM to use.

I know was you mean AFC. Cutting all the deadwood will be a big boost for the club and the wage bill, and hopefully allow us to use our limited funds to build a decent squad.

When they say retained, is it who they will offer new contracts to? It's not the players agreeing to stay/sign a new contract, so we could still lose players we want to keep?

Of course not, but would you keep him on? I haven't seen anything that shows he's worth keeping. I'd much rather we kept Tudgay as our "senior" striker, at least he scores and can run.

What if Stokes wants to go though, how would that work? Or could we activate the clause, then we have a player of value with a year on his contract, so get a decent fee?

What sort of area would the pay off be though? For arguments sake, say SP was on 1.5K a week? And he had 3 1/2 years left on that contract IIRC, that's around £273,000, or would they settle at say a couple of months wages in one hit or...? Hopefully the club had a clause about dropping into...
