The are in one important respect, they have a stadium which you can sit in.

Wasps owner rules out allowing CCFC to have a stake in ACL as well as buying the...

Agree - except I don't think the council's concern was to force CCFC into an unfavourable agreement - that is more of a side effect than the main aim. At the moment the agreement is not that bad ( 100000 instead of 1,3m ). The ball game has changed from TF saying he has moved on, to Richardson...

Wasps owner rules out allowing CCFC to have a stake in ACL as well as buying the...

Yes, that is apparently that. TF has not yet come up with a viable alternative to renting from Wasps. Talk of a stadium with nothing more than a touched up picture of someone else's suggested Stadium, and a question to RBC, is the sum total Tim's stadium plan - without a site and an explanation...

We would need more pasting tables for that to happen..... Off to B and Q then?

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

It doesn't fulfill my criteria for survival - unless we build a Stadium which could support a Premier League side i.e. 30000 + capacity with a station linked to Coventry and very near to Coventry. Without a decent sized Stadium we are condemned to the lower leagues.

Wasps want to play on Saturdays...

Whatever...., fact is we have made zero progress on a new stadium. There is no site available in Coventry. Beyond 3 years we don't have a groundshare in Coventry confirmed - we are at Wasps' mercy. So, we are by no means back in Coventry and if Wasps knock us back we are permanently out of...

    More from Derek Richardson...

Some of the criticism is OTT and ill informed. It is confrontational - the same stance that led to SISU losing the stadium built for us. I hope we don't lose Simon for the same reason.

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

I don't know how you stick it. You give us information which we can discuss and disect at leisure. If the people you talk to give an opinion that doesn't suit, you and your employer get insulted for it. I am grateful that you go out of your way to try and be polite and helpful. I will be now...

Wasps owner Derek Richardson explains Coventry move and rejects "franchise" tag

The main thing I am interested in is whether there is the slightest chance of selling a share of the stadium to, or allowing some form of future participation in the revenues to CCFC. If he says no chance then we know where we stand.

Actually, yes it is totally different. We were in a stadium that is sought after by hedge funds and our hedge fund owners turned the situation around so much so that it now belongs to another hedge fund. Beat that for a cock up....

As I said, I can't argue with you as you no doubt know better. I can only say how it felt to me and I haven't made an away game ( Northampton not counted ) since MK dons ( which was also in a good stadium ). TBF, in general everything seems expensive in England now because the Euro has gone...

I can only compare with the third division here...it seems expensive ( 25 quid = 37,50 € per adult on match day ).. Maybe the prices are ok for England. Won't argue with you. Quid for a kid was good seeing as I only come home occasionally and it is therefore pointless for me to have a club...

I took advantage of the kids for a quid - think it is great. The price for adults on match day is a bit steep for league one - but the stadium is good ( far better than the third division stadium where I live in Kiel ), I had a good view of the game and apart from them selling out of hotdogs...

    Those hoping for WASPs demise

who is not bothered? Some have been hoping that we start negotiating with Wasps as a new stadium seems unlikely. This new move, if it happens, will shut out any hope of a good deal with Wasps. I would say that we are all bothered, but some had been hoping for a quick deal with Wasps to be ahead...
