Yep. The end tailed away badly. Should have left it where you suggested, Daz.

Yep. What you have to do though is to read that out loud, but in a broad Yorkshire accent. Sounds much more believable then.

I would say it is getting better judging by that. That's a really good shot from about 20 feet away. ;) From a still photo I have seen, there do seem to be a number of supporters rounding on someone. Maybe that was the culprit. Hope they catch them.

Could have been worse. Could have been his own fans that did it!

I was there! So, ignore my Chelsea 1968 memory and stick this one in, instead. In fact, I need to look at all the games for that 67-68 season and see if any others pop into my head! ;) Unless I am thinking about another game St. John got sent off in of course.

Wow! How can Sheff Utd get 18,000 for a home League One game and yet cannot double that for a play-off final? We all know that City would easily sell 40,000 tickets and probably even 50,000. If we get allocated 40,000 I guarantee we will sell out.

Yep, just checked on the Beeb. The final was indeed 52,100. There is surely no way on this earth that Huddersfield had 15,000 for their home play-off match and then took 2,000 less than that to the final. That would be bizarre beyond belief.

Don't get that at all. That doesn't make sense. Not unless that 52,000 attendance is wrong. If Sheff Utd got just under 40,000 tickets, that means Huddersfield only took 12,000 to the play off final, despite having 15,000 for their home play-off match. I need to check elsewhere to confirm the...

Not my idea. Someone suggested it on 5 Live a couple of years back. I would assume they sent it to the FL and it is still in the pending tray.

Cyrille's goal return was very poor, but he was a great target man to lay the ball off for others.

Yep, Matesx's prediction seems a little low. No game for 2 weeks and last time out we won 6-0. Should encourage a few more. Hoping for around 13,000.

Well they wouldn't for Sheff Utd. They got 18,000 on Saturday for a league game, they would surely be able to muster 40,000 -50,000 in a play off final. We would and Sheff Utd get better crowds than us. The other matches perhaps, but the Sheff Utd one shows the system is wrong. 52,000 total...

Something must have changed, cos I've looked back and all the attendance are around the 40,000 mark until you go back to 2010, where Millwall played Swindon in front of 73,000. Since then, all 40,000's apart from that one that was just over 50,000. Did they change the rules all of a sudden?

Would love to know for certain. Last season's final had an attendance of 48,000, with 25,000 from Preston and 23,000 from Swindon. The season before was 43,000 for the game between Orient and Rotherham. The season previous to that was 42,000 for Brentford v Yeovil. 52,000 the year before...

Think Stupot said the teams only get about 28,000 each anyway and the rest are corporate. Is that right?

    The Automatics

Whether fair or not though, since it's introduction the play-offs have made things so much more exciting. Previously, if three teams were well clear at the top with a month to go, the season would be over for more than half the teams in the division. Someone however did came up with a...
