Get VAR in the fucking bin

Pete, thinking about this, the definition is played or touched, with touched being defined as first point of contact. There has to be a difference between playing the ball and touching the ball. For example, a striker is alone in the opposition’s half when his goalkeeper catches the ball from...

    VAR needs an overhaul

But it’s clear on the video. And, to be fair, you probably weren’t in the best position to judge,

    VAR needs an overhaul

There would have need to be plausible deniability not to allow the pen. The ball struck his arm which was way from his body and went downwards rather than carrying through to Simms to score with a diving header

Get VAR in the fucking bin

Don't get me wrong, yesterday was great and the feeling when we scored the winning goal was amazing. And then the VAR bastards ruined it. However, the chance of us beating Man City to win the cup would have been miniscule. I think we would have been in a playoff place without the cup run.

Media Reaction to FA Cup Semi Final

I think it shows Haji delaying his run whilst AWB continues his, in all probability Haji is not offside when the ball was played. But then, apparently, it’s from when O’Hare first touched the ball - a rule I had never heard of before I saw it elsewhere on here.

Get VAR in the fucking bin

I had edited my post before seeing yours. TBH I would rather we had got promoted than had the cup run.

Get VAR in the fucking bin

Should we care about keeping a competition honest? After yesterday? We should do whatever is best for our club and players. If that is chasing an almost impossible play off dream, then fair enough. If it is giving some youngsters valuable experience then equally fair enough.

Get VAR in the fucking bin

This won’t happen, but It shouldn’t be a replay that was offered, we should be awarded the win. There as no way on earth that United would have come back in the remaining 20 seconds of play. Every City player would have been row Z-ing the ball, or the player if necessary, for that remaining time.

Extraordinary Mark Robins after match interview

Less likely to get fined being subtle. He actually does it a lot.

Extraordinary Mark Robins after match interview

I think the comments he made about the 4th official saying the goal was good, and “if it’s right it’s right” ( as opposed to stating clearly that it was the right decision) and toenails Is actually derisive of the decision. It’s called subtlety.

    The game has gone

It was a penalty. Perhaps VAR bottled the offside because there was no time for United to come back from that if given as a goal. You could see from the reaction of all their players except the tosser in goal that they thought it was a legitimate goal and they were out.

Extraordinary Mark Robins after match interview

He did manage to get a subtle dig or two in about the VAR decision, clearly thinks it was wrong.

We have destroyed Man Utd's reputation

The ref booked him for time wasting, and then he went behind the goal to get a drink wasting more time. Should have been an immediate red card.

    We NEED to appeal that.

On what basis could the handball have been ruled out? Ball clearly struck the arm being held away from the body and direction of travel changed.
