Ruud gullit - how good in his prime

I remember having a discussion on here once and relaying a quote from Xavi Alonso where he said if he makes a tackle he has failed and they said it was bollocks! Well Maldini said a similar thing, he said If I have to make a tackle I have already made a mistake.

    Tonight’s games

I said it several times Saturday, Allen stayed on the bench purely because of his height and Shipley being more naturally left sided. Birmingham brought on several units and were getting a succession of corners and targeting our left. You might disagree with Robins doing that but there was a...

Ruud gullit - how good in his prime

There's a few quids worth of talent in those photos. Also back in those days there was very little football on TV and the pubs shut at 2 or 3 on a Sunday so a few pints followed by a live game was a treat. Now you can watch Sunday games all day but back then different story.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

the thing which always annoyed me was when both Corbyn and Johnson announced their broadband plans there was a telecommunications expert on 5Live and he said both plans were undeliverable, but johnsons never got the scrutiny or ridicule that Corbyns got and we're still talking about Corbyns plan...

Ruud gullit - how good in his prime

that was when Italian football was at its pinnacle. Gazza was also very good in the England game I referred to and he was in Italy as well at the time as was David Platt.

Ruud gullit - how good in his prime

Brilliant. The 3 Dutch lads for AC and Holland were outstanding. Remember him in a 2-2 draw against England at Wembley. He hardly touched the ball but caused mayhem with his movement, creating space by dragging players all over the place as they tried to double mark him.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

I think he got over excited. 2017 indicated the public were receptive to some of his policies and it was like if he was elected he was going to try and cram fucking everything he wanted to do into 4 years. Coupled with the ambiguity over Brexit and it was a mess. To me it was just a bad...

I think the first jabs also coincided with the introduction of a new lock down so that may be a factor in any reductions.

we will need a serious deterioration in our form to be involved in a last day shoot out. I don't think it will happen.

    Tonight’s games

it will be hard, that's a tough run. And there's no doubt we're in a relegation battle but we only need to be better tan 3 other teams and i think we will be.

    Tonight’s games

I think it's inevitable our position will deteriorate during Feb, but then we have a run of more winnable games as we did earlier in the season when we went 9 unbeaten and we should have enough to get the points we need from those games. As I keep saying, we did enough first half of the season...

but several of the teams around us have drawn a similar amount, those that have drawn less have also lost more. This is what's so frustrating about these types of thread, people offer no logical explanation as to why they think we're in trouble and then offer an equally illogical but totally...
