They would need to limit the turnstiles that FZ tickets can be used at and basically have armed guards monitoring those entering. Doug has said they intend to be robust, perhaps not to that exit though😀
Why when the tickets purchased are already hugely discounted so that the adult ticket is £230 cheaper than a standard zone ST. That would pay for quite a lot of single tickets during the year. Of course, I haven’t seen full details of the ticket exchange.
That’s not what he said, and I was replying to your comment that a self confessed novice shouldn’t be issuing directives.
He is the owner and executive chair - that’s his job.
Off the top of my head, at various times last season - all of which will add to the load on uninjured players, we had Sheaf, Allen, O’Hare, Tavares, Torp, Binks, Kelly, Wright, Sakamoto, Palmer, Van Ewijk injured.
I would imagine he has probably been listening to advice and researching what other clubs do.
You don’t have to be an expert to successfully lead an enterprise, you do need the skill to listen to experts and act accordingly. Doug is not a novice businessman.
Doug said that those in that position would have to make alternative arrangements. The devil is in the detail, and that detail hasn’t been revealed yet, but perhaps there will be a way of making those arrangements via the ticket exchange. If not, sounds like he would be expected to buy a ticket...
Doug has made it clear that an adult can’t turn up without a child and get entry to Family Zone and they will crack down on it.
That seems entirely reasonable.
They don’t actually state they have “listened“. They have reported elements of the consultation, so they have ‘heard” what supporters views are and they will probably have considered those views along with a myriad of other factors in order to come to this solution. A consultation is not a...
That is a very good question. The adult ticket is sold at that price “when accompanied by a junior”.
Logically then, if the junior is not attending then either the adult should not attend, or the adult should pay an additional fee to match the standard zone price per game.
Blackburn don’t offer a 48% discount for the adult accompanying that under 12 Like we do. Adult plus two U12 in that stand at Blackburn would have cost £649 last season, and in the cheapest seats £549. Same family in FZ would cost £350.
The adult prices in FZ are hugely underpriced.
I wasn’t being entirely serious about the loss in value, although the £500 is £140 more than the early bird price for where I sit as an over 65. The deal at £500 was a hedge/ gamble against inflation with the prize of a free ST if we make it to the Prem. The club will have made an additional...
