PHEV sales have dropped off a cliff, consumers aren’t buying the con. What are you even trying to say at this point? That the worlds car manufacturers will just refuse to follow existing legislation in major markets and they’ll be allowed to because they are so powerful?

No I’m for legalisation, decriminalisation is a misnomer because it keep the criminals in the supply side, but no I wouldnt be for spliff smoking where smoking is banned or where children are likely to be. Go to Amsterdam and smoke walking down the street and see the looks you get, it’s poor form.

Because we’re already selling EVs as fast as we can make them, no one is spinning up a production line because you’d decided the Maestro has to go a year early.

This guy seems to think so. Or at least seems to think there’s an opportunity there. Point is that’s what happens when you put targets like 2030 in, it focuses minds on opportunities there. Green techs biggest issue has always been the price premium only offset by the warm fuzzies from helping...

I think you’re massively overestimating the number of people that drive bangers. I’ve already given you the stats on average age of scrappage. On that alone and no behaviour shifts then by 2044 most petrol cars have been scrapped. And there will be a behaviour shift. Two thirds of homes have...

Yes now it does. But in five years it won’t.

Well for a start all new buildings or other scale renovations as of now are required to have charging in place. There’s no funding now for adding one yourself but the focus is on street and public charging. But again we’re talking 18 years time when the scale and used market for these things...

Nah they’re not that nice, maybe a Fiesta? I don’t know Renaults range to give an equivalent, but I know the Zoe.

Again though that’s a function of current early adopter tech. As I said in the last decade battery prices have come down 90%, so a 7 year old car is going to have an expensive battery. Once we get to mass production and a proper competitive market, plus the huge amount of R&D that’s been flooded...

Fuck the pitch invaders and the pricks smoking spliffs near kids or generally being pricks, but I love the pyros. Makes me feel like I support a fancy European team.

Why won’t any be available for £500? Used electric is only expensive now because there’s limited supply on the market and they’re a new product. A 2015 Zoe is about £6-7k and that would cost more than a Fiesta of similar spec to buy new. Once prices are cheaper and the market has been flooded...

Hydrogen is an awful idea for a mobile fuel IMO. I don’t see why the poorer would need help to buy something cheaper TBH. Everyone seems stuck five years ago when there was a massive price premium. That’ll completely disappear and reverse over the next 5 years. Battery lifecycle is already...

I think if somethings driven by 0.05% of people that’s a pretty hobbyist pursuit. And not something there’ll be nationwide infrastructure to support. You’re talking around the level, or just below, of stamp collectors. Tech change like this happens slow then very very quickly once it becomes...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

So was Snake Island. I don’t think the Russians have got them manpower for multiple fronts without mobilising the country. Pushing on to Crimea would make them have to pull back from Donbas I reckon.

    Squad numbers

I hear you, but then how does the rest of the squad shake out in a 3421 or 3412 formation like ours? GK 1 (easy) RWB 2 LWB 3 RCB 4? CB 5 LCB 6 CM 8 AM 10 ST 9 Who wears 7 and 11? CM and AM/ST? Madness

Question is: what numbers should wingbacks wear?

    USSR invades Ukraine.

If the Kherson push works out, I can see Putin faced with a choice of either mobilising the country instead of using ethnic minorities and yokels to fight the war, or beating a hasty retreat. The HIMARS hits to logistics seems to have blunted them with fire rates nothing like they were before...
