Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I don’t know why you’re fighting this. The deal with Corbyn was always decent domestic policy aligned with really really terrible foreign policy. He’s literally been campaigning against arms to Ukraine from the start on principle. The fact is without arms Ukraine would already be wiped off the...

    SISU ready to sell?

We don’t need £30m, we need maybe another £5m a year for the wage bill and a couple of mill a season for transfer fees. I don’t want to see us become another team spunking £5-10m on garbage Championship players on £20k/week, but I also don’t want us to be totally hamstrung and unable to bring...

    SISU ready to sell?

It’s certainly not a coincidence the most secretive owners suddenly spring a leak to the Times. Could also be to put pressure on CCC “Oh we can’t buy it because CCC hate us”.

    SISU ready to sell?

Sounds more like “someone come in and help us buy the ground” more than “we’re bored and want out” from that article.

    O'Hare bids

Probably the best we can hope for in a way, much less and he might be back before the window closes, much more and we won’t get to use him much before the next one opens.

    Josh Eccles 2022/23

Right back to DM is a fairly well trodden development path. Gus did it for a start. Allows a younger player to make mistakes in a less critical area of the pitch.

    Big crowds at the weekend

If we have a similar season to last year in terms of “success” I’d expect 22/23k average. Also the fact that with segregation and the size of the away end realistically 26/27k is about our max capacity.

We do if he’s injured for four months.

I was holding out hope that they stay up and will take £1m or so, but on yesterdays showing there’ll be clubs offering much more at this level.

    Sunderland Ratings

Moore - 5: Shocking for the first goal. Decent take from their cross, can’t remember much else. Hyam - 6: OK Fadz - 6: OK Panzo 8(MOTM): Looked excellent on the ball, strong in the air and some good tackles. Can see why Robins has been tracking him for so long. Eccles - 5: Poor, seems like a...

Also liked Palmers height. Adds so much, like when we play Sheaf as well.

Theb the owners need to find funds for RWB and AM loans while we try and offload him and Waghorn.

Not too worried. Was their cup final and we mostly looked comfortable. Ineffective without O’Hare but thought Palmer looked like offering something very different. Not trained since O’Hare was injured so you’d expect us to be disjointed. Hopefully we can work out a game plan before next match...
