    Investment on the Horizon?

Or the new owners buy ACL and the freehold and then cancel their own lease. Maybe make new separate leases for CCFC and Wasps as a 'propco'.

    Investment on the Horizon?

Unencumbered freehold or constant litigation was her line. CCC were worried that she could then do whatever she wanted or sell it to someone who could theoretically knock the stadium down for some other project. If someone bought an unencumbered freehold now, would Joy now say JR3 as she wasn't...

    Investment on the Horizon?

The freehold is not worth much because of the long lease to ACL. You would have to own ACL or buy the lease. Then it would be worth something to you.

    Investment on the Horizon?

Could they not just buy ACL with a promise of a long term sub lease for Wasps with a shop and some pie money on their match days, and then buy the freehold for the ground from CCC. CCC are out, Wasps are safe as a Rugby Club. Their investors are paid out of the price and CCFC are in control - or...

    Has he gone yet?

I don't think they are preparing for division 4. That would require forward planning. More like the wheel has fallen off and with falling attendances, constantly losing games and the loss of the will to win, division 4 is preparing for them. They won't make the end of the season on gate money...

    What is it about Coventry?

Bringing in more jobs and therefore wealth, may help in that respect. Money raised from business taxes could certainly be put to good use . Not bringing in jobs and taxes would lead to more crime and homelessness- which nobody wants.

Tbf things are moving forward after years of neglect.

    SISU/Otium

SISU bought the club to make a quick buck. They hadn't a clue about CCFC. The opposite happened. Tim was brought in to create a value led turnaround. To do that he had to cut costs and increase revenue. He has cut costs and his only hope to complete the turnaround, in our circumstances, is...

    On the cheap

My question was whether clubs with a break even structure- without equity injection- got promotions. Yeovil was an example. Bournemouth and Swansea probably not.

    On the cheap

Whilst you are right in principle, do many teams that are operating on a break even basis get promoted- and stay up more than 2 or 3 years? ( serious question as I don't know ). We were given Yeovil as an example by Tim a couple of years ago. They got up with a budget of 2 million. All gone...

CWR post Cambridge phone in ....

Yes, that is true ( re signings). Good intent, but didn't work out. In addition to missing the wanted signings and having to make do with what we were left to choose out of and/ or trying to hold something back in the kitty for January, the club is in disarray from top to bottom. I was at MK...

CWR post Cambridge phone in ....

The main problem being, we are way below break even and have to operate at 'self sufficient'. A contradiction or rather an impossibility. We cannot afford a decent manager. Even TM saw this and resigned without waiting to be sacked and therefore to receive compensation. The structure is...

CWR post Cambridge phone in ....

We are looking for an ops director, have lost a CEO, commercial director and a manager in a short space of time.... the whole club both on and off the field is without direction. The players aren't showing desire or passion. Not surprising in the circumstances. Our owner has lost the JR. The...

    New Horizon.......

Yes, had a Horizon in 1978. Was alright actually. Sort of bronze metallic. Was almost new when I got it....an ex roll car ( staff car ).

Do you know this for a fact? If you do, is he going to be replaced?

    New CCFC Info

His remit will be to get the the p and l sorted out and therefore create a "turnaround". He is cutting costs successfully, but the problem is increasing revenue. If he can pull that one off, then the club could be sellable. He may be working for a percentage of the sale price. At the moment he...
