I realise O’Hare maybhave skewed perceptions somewhat, but that’s not the main thing I look for in a number 10. Palmer can score and unlock defences and that’s more than Jamie Allen, who is O’Hare without the talent or ability to win the ball.

Love that in a back three though. Makes the opposition make some decisions. And I reckon he’ll score goals if he gets games. As I say if they’re all gash at defending may as well play the one who dribbles up half the pitch.

Think Doyle and Panzo are just as iffy defensively as Rose, but much better in the air and with the ball, we might have been forced into our best back three.

Leaving Allen on was a total mystery. We had control of the game, Palmer or Waghorn would have been infinitely more useful breaking them down than the headless chicken.

Wilson, Rose, Fadz, Doyle, Dabo, Allen and goal scoring aside Godden. I’m sorry but if we lose the ball less than 30 yards from their goal and concede the only people to blame are the defence. It was a terrible pass but you should expect to lose possession in the final third.

Get Palmer and Walker on for Allen and Godden.
