DaCosta wasn’t great with the ball but I felt like he’d really taken onboard feedback from the QPR game and stuck to his position well and was defensively solid.
The front three the only ones to get below a 7 for me today. McCallum, Ostigard and McFadzean all excellent. Impressed by DaCosta’s application today as well, felt like he’d really learnt from the QPR game.
Had high hopes for him based on his reputation and the fact he’d been brought in specially from Australia but he’s been shocking every time we’ve had him.
Just feels like we’ve missed our chance. Their manager will re-organise them second half, they surely won’t allow us to have as many chances as they have in that first half.
I think recruitment has been poor this season and I worry for us next season should we stay up tbh. Hull, Peterborough and Portsmouth/Sunderland/Charlton are undoubtedly going to be stronger than the sides their replacing and will all have decent budgets.
When I watch the game on Sunday I’m going give Barnsley a standing ovation for 90 minutes in my living room. It’s an honour to be able to witness them.
