    Realistic signings

Ivan Toney would be a good signing. Just for the laughs really.

    Retained List

Always difficult to let people go after a promotion season, but to me it is quite clear that we need improvement up front. Godden is our only out and out goalscorer and we certainly can't rely just on him. I think because of this Baka and Biamou would have to go for better replacements. Would be...

Standing in the pissing rain at Forest Green.

Great shout. God that really made me feel like we were the worst team in the world at that point (both on and off the pitch).

    Next season

I recognise that sarcastic comment vibe. The big crowds are a huge plus for me. Also, I know it seems minor, but not having to play in the checkatrade trophy (even though it lead to our revival). Being in the crowd, it always felt like a glorified training match that could also tire players out...

Anybody able to tell me if there have been any squad survivors from the checkatrade trophy win to this promotion? Jodi Jones and Jordan Shipley perhaps?

The Players who will be forgotten

Will always have fond memories of Stokes as one of the few players to be part of both the checkatrade and play-off Wembley victories

The Players who will be forgotten

I don't think any player from the successful league two season will be forgotten as that will always be seen as contributing to our rise. I'm thinking more the downfall from the championship into league two.

Fantastic point! That really was an incredible effort!

The Players who will be forgotten

Watched a video of Carl Baker celebrating our promotion and got me thinking about players who performed for us when we really were a lost cause. I'd put a vote for Reda Johnson, who I thought was a real rock at the back. Any other players come to mind?.....Also, we're on ouuuuurrr wayyyyy!!!

Standing in the pissing rain at Forest Green.

Oxford away was the low point for me. We were going down under Slade and chants of 'this is embarrassing' rang around our end. At that point I thought we'd be lucky to be playing in the championship again within the next thirty years!

    Happy League Champions Day

I understand the pessimism, but surely it wouldn't make sense to play on?

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Fingers crossed this time tomorrow we will be a championship club!

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Fingers crossed you are right. Logically it would make sense, but this is the EFL after all.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

They could be pressured by the bigger clubs in League 1. Remember there are a few who will vote with the majority. If they see that the championship are playing, they may well think that we should too.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

I wasn't implying that the championship clubs would apply pressure, but that by due of them playing it puts pressure on clubs arguing that we cannot play. The timeline still looks like it is in our favour, but I wouldn't rule out some flexibility from the EFL just yet.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

In principle I agree, but I can see the EFL clubs being pressured into restarting. The fact that the government have given the green light and that the championship will start will make it difficult for smaller clubs to argue that they cannot play.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Looks more likely that the league one season is going to play out. Clubs may argue that they can't play without crowds, but that may well be the case for the next 18 months. We're going to have to win this on the pitch. Strap yourselves in for a bumpy ride...
