How on earth would offering a player wages on a 3 year deal mean we end up like Derby or Birmingham?

We are losing £7 million a year so we have without significant owner backing or external funding no ability to afford the wage bill as it is. This isn’t the point though - the point is if the owner is determine ceilings on transfers and setting conditions on who can be signed that’s a clear issue.
