Regarding the idea of a large stadium at the Butts I can see about 10 of these reasons that might apply. It is one thing to spout on about a 20-25K stadium, it is quite another matter to get planning permission for it.

Someone listed the criteria when this all came up, I couldn't see any reasons that applied.
