Yeah, right, okay. Not biting. ;)

No wins in 6 for them. Would think that gives us a fair chance of getting something, but we are going to have to battle, cos I'm sure they will try and outmuscle us and fight for every scrap.

Some seemingly are! May just be the same people though, win one game play-offs here we come, lose one, sack the manager! ;)

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Well yep, but as Stupot said, we beat Crewe 5-0. That didn't get momentum going. After that game we didn't win for 5 matches. We beat Bury 6-0. That didn't get momentum going either. Since that game we have lost 4 in a row. Our two best results of the season. Let's see how we get on against...

    So who are the candidates?

Very true. Sacking managers has saved us before too. We have been sinking and teetering around the relegation zone and replaced people and survived. Also can be argued that had we sacked Thorn in time we would have survived that year too.

Easy solution. Tell all the players there is no Christmas next year.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Err, numpty, cc4l! That's exactly what we are saying. To get 2 or 3 wins on the bounce we have to get that first win, but then that first win means nothing unless it is followed up by another 1 or 2 wins. Some are saying about turning the corner on the back of 1 win. We beat Blackpool and it...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Feel exactly the same way, Stu. We win on Saturday and that will mean nothing unless we follow it up with another win or two afterwards.

    Mowbray, RCC and Defending

He won't. Won't stop him pulling on a Sheff Weds one though.

    Mowbray

Billy Davies has had big fights with boards over funding squads and buying players and has even walked out. If he came here he wouldn't last 5 mins and besides, he wouldn't come here.

    Mowbray

It is indeed. Surely he has enough about him and enough experience to have addressed that hasn't he? I have loved the bloke and found him a breath of fresh air, but ever since I have learned about this Achilles heel he seemingly has, I have become very concerned. If this is to be the 3rd time...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Good points. Just grates a little when you can have Gillingham and Southend and Burton all fighting for a play-off place and that being their target and their believing it is achievable. With the City it always seems to be about consolidating and building and it being 2 or 3 seasons or 4 or 5...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

We can hope, can't we. A win on Saturday would be brilliant, but it wouldn't change my thinking. As I keep on saying, we need a run. 3 wins on the bounce and then we are right back in with a good chance. Just can't see that 3 on the bounce though, I really can't. At the moment I would be...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

Been saying for weeks we should rest Ricketts! Been hard for me to accept because earlier in the campaign I had him down as one of the candidates for player of the season. The change has been remarkable. And as I say, I believe it is resting him, not dropping him. Give him a couple of games...

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

It is indeed a massive concern. Team spirit and belief are so massive to a club. We have players whose heads drop, don't track back, don't roll up their sleeves and don't have the stomach for a fight. We need 11 players with the ethic and mindset of Vincelot and Stokes. Have that and it would...

    So who are the candidates?

If this turns out to be the third time teams of his have collapsed out of the play-offs, then I can't see how he will be inundated with offers.

Time to wake up and smell the coffee

3 points on Saturday would be brilliant for sure, but like you say it is so much bigger than that. 3 points is just one single game. As I keep saying, we need a run of results. Are we capable of 4 wins on the bounce? I would say almost definitely not. We would in all probability have to win at...

    Mowbray Out Mongs

Hmm... seems though that his calibre includes having teams of his 3 times in excellent play-off positions at Christmas and then totally blowing it. Not sure I would want another manager of that calibre to be honest.
