Very true. Sacking managers has saved us before too. We have been sinking and teetering around the relegation zone and replaced people and survived. Also can be argued that had we sacked Thorn in time we would have survived that year too.

Hmm... seems though that his calibre includes having teams of his 3 times in excellent play-off positions at Christmas and then totally blowing it. Not sure I would want another manager of that calibre to be honest.
