I mean, he’s not. The council are the councillors technically, colloquially it’s everyone who works for Coventry City Council. So Duggins can legitimately say it’s not been considered by the council and Gilbert can say the council did it. And both can be right. Isn’t language wonderful?
What’s...
No. They think management consultants are a waste of time. Because they are. In every industry. Culture change by all means, Blair professionalised teaching, it can be done, but handing dat checks to Tory donors isn’t the way.
Or local journos fudging facts for clicks. Take your pick.
The Chief Exec becomes “the council” which he’s not, he’s Chief exec of Coventry City Council. A third party being introduced becomes “council bailout” because that’s the story angle he’s been working with TWW and the like.
Seems to be the thing here. There’s “Coventry City Council” the organisation and “the council” the elected representatives of the city. And people are switching between which they mean at any particular point.
Need something down that end, I swear there’s fewer goals scored there than the end with singers corner cos there’s less atmosphere. Closing the top half unless it’s needed would be a start.
Still remember our wins over Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, etc. I’ll be honest none of the victories the last 20 years really come close. 17th wasn’t that bad.
