    Liverpool City

Still got a good turn of pace, as well.

    Train strike

The strike is off, but apparently it's too late to ammend the timetable. So, services will still be running as if the strike is still on, even though it isn't. For this Saturday, anyway.

    Wasps downward spiral...

That's very much the more likely scenario. Thing is, although Saracens got a big fine and a hefty deduction, they've still got the players there that got them into such a dominant position. It's inevitable that they'll make those points up.

    Wasps downward spiral...

From my limited understanding of Premiership Rugby, I think its a case of when, not if, Saracens make up the points they lost. Certainly, let's hope that's the case. One down, one up. Almost always, it's the team that gets relegated goes straight back up next season, and vice versa.

    Euro 2020

Could they not have made it just a bit more simple?

    Wasps downward spiral...

Wasps smashed and Cov winning big. In the absence of a City game, that's a great Saturday!

Surely you're not implying football fans are fickle!?

    London Bridge

So, not only was he known, he was a convicted terrorist serving a long sentence for plotting a terrorist act by bombing the stock exchange, and some complete pillock has decided its safe to let him back into society? That is up there with one of the maddest things I've ever heard.

    Things that annoy you

The council, but then who don't they annoy!? Whenever West Orchards gets busy now, it's madness. Most people who end up getting stuck in there blame the crossings the council had put in by the Belgrade. The centre themselves blame them. The council? "Nah, the crossings aren't the problem. "...

    Dick Emery sacked

It gets me they moan about how bad it is for them because they're not winning the league. Bloody hell, they haven't got a clue. Maybe time they accepted they're not at that level, any more.

    Dick Emery sacked

Wonder if they regret hounding Wenger out? Was he really doing such a bad job, them being a Champions League team for all but one season. Wonder if they'll be after the Wolves manager, rather than Pochettino. That'd be a big blow to wolves.

    All purpose cricket thread

Just reconfirmed what we saw in the Ashes. Our Test side isn't up to standard, capitulates far too easily and was handed an emphatic education by New Zealand.

Match Thread Sunderland vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 23rd Nov

Probably not, because if Burge plays he'll play the most inspired game of his career yet. Probably like that old Carling Black Label advert, you know, the one with the Dambusters spoof....

At what point are we allowed to start believing......

I'll start believing if it ever becomes a mathematical certainty, and only then. I've spent too many years as a fan of this club to get my hopes up too early in a season!

    The miss not offside

I remember Soccer AM running the clip with the Scottish commentary. Perfectly in tandem dual "Awwwwe Naw!!!!"
