The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I always find it bizarre that Remainers appear to revel in people losing their jobs especially if there is any potential tie to Brexit. It took one google to find this article https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/business/2021/feb/25/melrose-plans-close-gkn-factory-birmingham...

Yeah, could happen. Think we’ll find out next couple of days

    Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

So far he’s saying flat ‘no’. Which surprises me after the pasting he got in the last fight. Whether that’s all part of the negotiation, who knows

Agree, it’s obviously more transmissible (and by all accounts will become dominant strain here and the rest of the world...until another new variant probably comes along). The question is how much more transmissible and was the increased spread due to other factors as well as transmissibility...

Ive reading something similar which would be great news. Although everyone (in particular the media !) needs to appreciate/accept that the virus will continue to mutate, with the more transmissible variants likely to become the dominate strain in most countries. From my limited scientific...

Yep ! Basically suggesting that whilst there’s a bit of panic and modellers (media) predicting 6k-10k hospitalisation a day, at present there’s little change. Fingers crossed it stays that way ! Edit - cant see overall latest hospitalisations but PHE (England only) still showing daily net...

Double jabbed a decent number at least. Hopefully that same hesitancy won’t be shown here....maybe the Indian variant might be the kick up the arse some needed (always like to take at least a small positive out of a potentially shitty situation !)

many on here (and elsewhere) raised issues with government following that advice and wanted a different strategy. As I say, if the roll out had fucked up would people be blaming the NHS/JVCI ?! Of course they wouldn’t, and nor should they. The government made the final decisions

Hmmmmm, I don’t accept the vaccine roll out has little to do with the government. Nor do most fair minded people in the population. Funding the development of Oxford vaccine and ensuring it was delivered through AZ at not for profit (not just good for us but rest of the world). Also ensuring...

Basically nobody knows yet...how much more transmissible the variant is and whether vaccinations will help break the chain of transmission and/or hospitalisations etc

Another MP with a condescending manner...can’t watch him

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I always think she comes across as a bit condescending (think it’s just her manner/way she is rather than necessarily intentional) but should be front bench when looking at some of the alternatives

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

She should certainly at least be in the shadow cabinet. Said before there’s too many decent politicians on the back benches of both major parties (and plenty of poor ones on the front benches !)

Sums up O’Brien, he’s a prick....probably mentions brexit somewhere as well ? There is no doubt if youre being cautious you stop flights from India earlier, I personally would have. However, this is also not binary....we live in country that has a high Indian population. Even now all Heathrow...

Agree that Brighton will surely trigger the extra year but (and I appreciate I’m stating the obvious) that means he’s in the final year of his contract again, so it will be interesting to see what type of fee clubs are willing to pay... maybe not near his true worth...well, let’s hope not anyway !

reason for the dragging is we’ve been focussing on 400k+ second doses a day for higher risk (first doses around 100-150k per day) Supplies from India and I’m guessing EU have also been disrupted when we looked to ramp up at start of April. Kind of glad we didn’t push for the 5m Indian supplies...
