    The Gigs Thread

Half man Half Biscuit and the empire last night. Excellent gig and loads of banter and references to the football club (willie Carr, Jeff Blockley, Mick Coop to mention a few) and the vile wasps moving in. They were on for the best part of 2 hours. which is some going when most tracks are 2 1/2...

It'll soon drop off when you start getting some miles on the bike.

As opposed to selling him for £80k to our local rivals.

    Holding Wasps to Account

It'll never happen whilst the CET, Wasps and council are all bedfellows. The sooner we are out of that ground the better.

It looks like this was always on the cards with the new lad coming in. I think he's improved massively this season but like others say, his pace covers his mistakes.

Lose the Gut Thread (Following on from New Year's Resolution)

Got in 17 miles on my bike today. Less than half of what I was doing but feel really good for it tonight and it was fucking freezing and windy. Building up to 20 then 25 over the next week or two and watch the pounds fall off (hopefully).

    Idiots with the whistles

3 or 400 blowong constantly is a protest. A cocksucker blowing one randomly isn't. Surely you can see or hear the difference?

    Idiots with the whistles

It was blown because it had a prick on the other end of it.

    Idiots with the whistles

I always thought it was illegal to take a whistle into a football ground.

    Nathan Clarke

He was just what we needed today. A talker on the pitch, constantly organising and encouraging, and got into the refs ear plenty of times too.

So how did everyone think the 32 year old journeyman played today?

    Idiots with the whistles

Cant see from the highlights as it it doesn't show the ball out to the wide player. Ruben is clearly behind play when the ball goes in though.

Lose the Gut Thread (Following on from New Year's Resolution)

Need to lose 2.5 stone that I put on over the last year or so. I got Lymes disease (i think) 18 months ago and haven't been able to do any real excercise since. Starting to feel a bit better and will be out on the bike tomorrow to start things off for the year.

    Idiots with the whistles

Two players, Lameires and Reilly, I think, both stopped for a second as the whistle blew and this let the ball run to their player wide on the right. Gave him enough space to get the cross in. So yes the Prick with the Whistle cost us today.
