It was obviously to put the strain on Wasps and get a deal. The club got really lucky that covid came along and we got promoted at the same time. The Championship money secured us and the lack of income fucked Wasps so we ended up with a reasonable deal in the end.

As an outsider it seems silly you can be given such a benefit by being able to change tyres during a red flag. Surely you want the winner to be decided by racing and tactics over procedure.

They also constantly peddle that the non-sporting side will support the rugby club. The two together are still making huge losses. If the non-rugby side doubled its profit it wouldn't support the rugby club. They're being supported by owners pockets that aren't bottomless.
