I think that's a correction of the word "can't". I've no idea how my autocorrect has become so messed up. It clearly has a low opinion of my spelling ability. Also, it has this annoying thing where it adds the letter l in a sentence. I've no idea why.

But, again. I'll make the point I made yesterday. Why would Max, with a 33 point championship lead, not at least anticipate the possibility that Lewis isn't going to back out and leave just a little bit more space. Worst that happens that way is he loses the place, or goes in the run off...

While I'm sure that's true, I doubt Lewis cares really what Horner says, in all honesty. If he wants to win this title, he knows he can't afford to back out and let Max get away.

Think Horner would do well to remember Max's history isn't exactly spotless. He's caused more than his fair share of incidents during his career.

Turned into quite a race in the end! Wouldn't have been upset at all with a Leclerc win, but Hamilton was just on it for that final stint. Things are certainly going to be interesting next time Max and Lewis have a battle. Neither of them are going to give an inch.

It's a given if/when Hamilton passes Norris, Bottas will be given his orders eventually.

After the drama of the start, gone a bit flat. Everyone focused on tyre management.

I'm not so sure. Lewis is trying to make up ground in the title fight, so he was never backing out. Max has a title lead to think about, so it was probably smarter for him to back out, even at the expense of the losing the place. I think his car might have been in better shape over the race...

On the basis of what happened between Russell and Sainz yesterday though, this is probably more of a penalty than that was.

Tell you what that does, though. There's going to be no quarter given in the title race for the rest of the season now, Max isn't the kind to take that lying down.

Well before my time unfortunately, but obviously his impact was such that I think even fans from well after his time know about him and the impact he had at the club. In Every sense of the word a proper City legend.

Don't get that. I thought they were supposed to show a bit of leniency on the opening lap of a race? It's not like Sainz was unable to continue. Think I read elsewhere they also gave him a penalty point on his licence, which iis absolutely absurd if that's the case. Think they need to rework...

Not as bad as feared, still not sure I'm fully behind the idea but I'll see how the other trials go and give it a fair chance.

Just a shame that doesn't set the grid for the proper race. Really hope this sprint race malarkey isn't as dull as most of the brains at the teams say it's likely to be....

Well, I didn't expect anyone other than Max to be fastest, Max was so far ahead of everyone earlier it was like he was driving a different circuit to anyone else.

Just hooked it up beautifully, smooth as anything.

What a lap from Russell!

Think the starting grid is as close as anyone is going to get to Max for the rest of the weekend.
