Coventry City star Marosi undergoing Shrewsbury Town medical today

I can imagine they're probably just paying up the remainder of his contract.

Interesting. I presume we'll have someone lined up if he's definitely going. Simon Moore?

It's a pointless argument as you could counter that and say who says we will bring in the same quality or better? The primary issue with loans is that they provide no stability. As much as we can put faith in Robins and the recruitment department it's an issue even they'd agree isn't ideal nor...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Little point in being genuinely worried at this point of the season. Transfer windows are horribly competitive and convoluted at the best of times, let alone this summer's. If we start bringing in dross then there's grounds to worry.

I'm not saying we are but that's the reality of what we're up against. Regardless of the pros and cons of owners blindly pumping millions each year into their respective clubs, the fact of the matter is we cannot compete with those in the Championship on commercial and ticketing revenue alone...

It's quite simple. We don't have owners who write blank cheques season after season with zero interest rates attached.

Not really what I was touching on. It was more the recruitment aspect of it. Mowbray had no plan B as his knowledge of the marketplace was woefully poor, hence why we brought in the players that we did. However, comparatively to where we are now, I feel much better knowing we have the structure...

Exactly. I think fans have the right to air their frustrations but comparing it to the Mowbray catastrophe is both premature and massively far fetched as that just wouldn't happen again. Not now when we have a solid recruitment team in place.

At the end of the day the club needs to try and maximise revenue wherever possible, especially away from the traditional means - something they've been relatively useless at in the past. It might look a bit desperate but it's a pretty easy way of raising funds.

The correlation is quite obvious. The longer we go without signings the more ITK's seem to pop up. However, in reality it's either people clamouring onto rumours they've seen online or heard down the pub (which they then try and pass off as a credible source) or they're simply making it up.

    European championships 2020 thread

Few thoughts on I think this is the crux of it really. He's insistent on sitting back in order to grind out results when we're in front, however our back line just won't be good enough to sustain that against the competition's better sides - the warning signs are already there in the past two...

Not worried as it was pretty much what I expected. Saying that, I'm horribly bored and the euros isn't exactly helping matters.

    Partnership with Sports Alliance

It's great to see the club making strides to improve internal operations and bring it into the 21st century. Commercial and ticketing revenue is what we mainly rely on so it makes sense to try and maximise its potential.

It's all they do. I honestly fail to understand why people genuinely believe they have any inside knowledge at any club in the EFL. They're just a Twitter newsbot who attempts at passing off online rumours - whether they be from the press or from football club forums - as their own.

University of Warwick - Ccfc mentioned

The roads around the university are a bit of a nightmare when the slightest bit of traffic builds up though - Gibbet Hill Road especially. The relief road should help with that though.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I know we haven't had much prior success but in the wider context of recruitment it definitely isn't good for us though. With the European market all but closed off far more focus has been drawn to players on home turf. Championship clubs that used to previously recruit overseas in the lower...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Still early days yet but the longer it goes on without us bringing anyone in I suspect what I predicted a little under a month ago is probably going to be a recurring theme for this window. Frustrating if we are missing out on players, but there's little we can do about it apart from trusting...
